How long are you considering the pit to last? I would say if you’re going that route it didn’t last past Lost Days because he seemed fine in Under the Red Hood. The behavioral effects of the pit doesn’t last long unless you go in multiple times
See that's where it gets hella confusing, other characters simply say that Jason's 'behavior ' has changed from his normal one in Lost Days right? But then Dick says that his actions aren't making sense in New Earth, and of course in BFTC Jason is fully insane, that is clear to see in the comic, now that could just be his grief from Bruce's death!
I'd say the pit made him go psycho in lost days. He was thinking clearly, that's for sure! But his morals were the ones that shift there.
I'd say the pit didn't affect him that much in UTRH right, not in countdown etc. But when Bruce died it played a little part in Jason loosing his own mind and eventually committing suicide.
Tumblr has to be so majestic. You post one rant about how something makes you real uncomfortable and a multimuse blog gets butt hurt and whines, totally disregarding the fact that you are made uncomfortable by that and very obviously posting from frustration. Eat a dick mate, yeah? I was followin a graphic blog and Im asexual. Made me real uncomfortable and they said they were an RP blog, but they werent. I unfollowed and asked people to at least warn people aint hard to ask is it? Hoo roo, mate.
Thoughts?(To me, yeah itis famservicy, BUT the fact that it works both ways and they run with the concept in a fresh shameless way, trying to take itself more as an action show then a show like godanner is what personally makes it entertaining to watch.
Hahah, believe me I'm definitely enjoying the fan service - even if it is skewed more for men than women ( omfg Mikisugi, wow.) but my issue is when people try to make KLK more than what it is - a pervy fan service animation.
tldr; KLK is so over the top fan service wise you really can't expect anyone to take it seriously much less pull any real value out of it ( not like there is any to begin with )
"Yeah, there is fan service in Kill La Kill, but these outfits were not designed for the purpose of titillating the male audience. They go straight back to the whole point of Kill La Kill. Clothing is sin." This particular line I don't agree with because yes clothing is sin but that doesn't mean the outfits need to be skimpy. They were designed to cover everything on their body BUT their breasts, mid-drift, and ass, so not only are those pieces exposed but they're focused on. In Ryukos case, dark outfit contrasting with her light skin? You know what my eye'll be focused on. Satsuki's ass doesn't even get any coverage. Ludacris would tell her to pull her pants up, but Satsuki can't because she doesn't have any. Consider inverting these designs - cover just the breasts and ass (Mid-drift optional) and you can still have sexy clothes without being so blatantly scandalous.
While we're talking about fan service I do want to say I commend KLK for having a male character designed clearly for fan service - but I'm not satisfied with how much screen time he gets and how his fan service is always portrayed as a joke. In the early episodes of KLK, Mikisugi was seriously the only character I really wanted to see - I'm tired of looking at sexy girls all the time. I'm fuck'n fatigued - really, change it up please. Comedy wise, I suppose fan service started out as comic relief anyways so I'll forgive them for that...But it would be really really nice if there was more female fan service that's taken as seriously as Ryuko's fan service?
PHEW
That being said...KLK's animation quality, humor, and actions scenes are top notch. I truly do enjoy the show, but it's not perfect. And that's FINE - nothing is ever perfect. But to argue that the skimpiness is appropriate, or that the tv show is more than a pervy edgy cartoon, is WRONG and I will fight you :I
