I was gonna rewatch Children of the Whales and I saw an episode titled "Criminals of Falania" It reminded me of AOT, "Devils on Paradis"

Spoilers for AOT!!

In Children of the Whales, they think they're the only people in the world on a drifting boat. Until they find a girl on an island with psychic powers stronger than their own (Eren having titan powers) . While they also have powers, they all die young because of those abilities and have no clue why. The twist/truth from both shows is a bit similar, they've been banished from the world for their ancestors crimes. The Elders, (that are like the their council) know of the truth yet hide it from their people. Similar to the Church of the Walls !

The 13 years curse also matches with their own of dying at 30

I love both of these shows sm the main characters are not similar at all tho lol

My PD101 Rant No One Cares About.

I remembered that at the beginning, when the introductions were revealed, Ong Seong Woo was my fave and I was going to support him all the way. Then, I found out NU'EST joined. Suddenly, without realizing, JR became my fave. Ong is great but I think NU'EST needs the most support now. I wouldn't want NU'EST to disband when they're so damn talented and nice. ♥SUPPORT NU'EST ON PD101♡

ok like first and foremost donna troy is my girl and unforch i am someone who gets competitive abt my love triangles😛😛

my thing w jaderoy is it is a difficult dynamic to get right bc it’s like they meet at such a weird time in his life and it’s like just sex for him but maybe she’s in love with him but also then she tries to kill him but then she’s pregnant and then there’s lian and then roy’s like ok ur the mother of my kid and yes it was just sex but now you’re like the most important person in my life aside from her and like that’s sorta unchangeable and then she’s like STILL KILLING PPL and he’s STILL A SUPERHERO

and there’s still lian

so it’s a difficult dynamic to write and it becomes much easier to be like copy and paste brutalia

and that’s INCORRECT

however unlike talia when ppl are like jades the victim of bad writing

with the concession that she is sorta bc everyone is

i really dislike this push to purify characters like jade needs to be a mass murderer/terrorist for hire and there cannot be a justifiable reason

like she needs to be killing innocent ppl we can’t just have it be assassin on assassin crime

the stakes need to be raised not lowered

and idk i feel like there’s an easy writing trap to fall into of their issue being

“you’re a murderer but god our sexual tension is just unbearable”

that’s wrong it needs to be “you’re a murderer and you gave me the best thing that’s ever happened to me and i can’t ignore either of those things”

i think jade and roy are the most compelling when no one really understands their relationship

including them

as in their real lives, i think lian is the most interesting/important offshoot of them

let’s all agree for arguments sake (and also bc i’m right) that the whole jade and cheetah rob the justice league thing is silly

like say for most of her childhood jades been in prison and thus, not killing ppl

and lian is like grappling with this guilt and rage and having to face who her mom is outside of being her mom and is just GOING THROUGH IT

and roy just cannot hate her

like he just like cannot bring himself, cannot separate them out even tho they’re not in love and Lians just like FURIOUS

idk lots of thoughts

i think u can make jade bad without undergoing total character assassination (like she loves her daughter u can’t fuck w that) and u can make roy conflicted without being all “jades the love of his life” abt it
