Listen they can’t help it that all their tall genes go directly into their torso. Absolute ferret of a Titan. Fossil takes it all in stride, though. Maybe one day they’ll be able to tie themself into knots.

Dragon is 9, and most of the time the closest age I can get to that in media to compare her to is 10, so I think about characters like Ezran who is ten(in s1-3) and then how I have Dragon act and it leaves me feeling a little weird because I think I have her act a bit too immature for her age.
Which is also confusing because I’m trying to find this balance of her being really into pretend and sometimes even a bit naive, but I also want her to be a bookworm that knows stuff and can also be quiet and thoughtful and blah blah. It’s like I’m having a hard time deciding how loud and silly she should be versus being more calm and stuff like I had her originally when she was 11.
I want her to be cute and all, but I’m not trying to force it and I don’t want to sacrifice her character for it. I would prefer both. And right now I feel like I’m sacrificing her character for it.
This is a problem I’ve had for a long time. I’m not so sure I can have both things and it’s hard decision to make. I want her to be a kind of silly kid at times, but I don’t want her to JUST be a silly kid that’s not taken seriously when the time is there.
-shrug-
Honestly sometimes I think I’ve ruined her from what she once was. It’s a feeling I can’t seem to shake, and yet I have zero desire to roll her back at all either so. All I can do it move forward until she feels right.
Rehabilitator Dragon whenever all those traumatized kids make it back to the safe village:
Ducky in the corner, to the kid getting rehab:

Dragon: How do I look, puppies? (okay so she didn’t actually ask the dogs this but my brain said yes)
When train dad loans you his jacket as a comfort while you go visit Tiger Salamander because he’s being all secretive and talking to Twig alone and you’re nervous about being around people too long already.
Some recent rp stuff with @becauseimgabbeh-blog. I must do some manic Ducky doodles to go with this. (I was going to draw him melting the glass)
@nightlightdragon1 for Tiger Salamander because in this rp Dragon went to visit her and give her the journal to write Komodo’s stories in. I will try to do some art of it at some point, been on my list forever!
I am so bad with kid ages that all day I have been questioning whether Dragon actually suits age 11 or whether I should have made her slightly younger?
I definitely don’t think she should be any older based on the way she acts and such.
Not saying I’m necessarily changing it, just been pondering. Literally all because I watched a youtube video last night of two voice actors for Animaniacs reacting to kids reacting to new and old Animaniacs episodes. And the kids were like anywhere from 8-12. And now I’m just not sure at all LOL!
Just gonna leave this one in it’s own post for funsies.
@nightlightdragon1 is responsible for this one XD

Someone take this child to an actual bookshop!

My brain says nope to drawing anything else substantial this evening. So have a disgruntled Dragon, who hates rain because have you ever gotten wet when you have fur? Wet dog smell, gross, heavy... becoming cursed brought with it a newfound hatred of water. Imp fur, unfortunately, doesn’t seem to come in a water proof variety.
“What are you afraid of, Dragon?”
Dragon: Hurting people, having to be alone and isolated forever, forgotten stories, tight spaces. And sopping fur.
