Dragon for the Fighting Ring au.
The Curse and Imp work pretty much the exact same way in this universe, except that instead of initially changing Dragon’s appearance, she changed more and more each time Imp possessed her.
She was given The Cursed book(courtesy of The Lady) as a form of amusement largely. A normally passive pacifistic child being taken over by dark magic/demon. She was then moved to The Maw rings to fight.
Dragon was purposely kept close to other children. This kept her stressed and fearful enough for the Imp to take control of her for fights.
At first she was made to carry the book around during fights, with it being tied to her with barbed-wire so that neither she nor other fighters could use it as a weapon. However, while The Imp was able to stand the pain, Dragon was not, and after a few fights with her winding up at The Hospital, the book was simply kept near the arena instead.
Dragon mutilated her arms a lot between fights and actually being in control of herself.
Dragon got rescued and rehabilitated, and now she’s a rehabilitator herself. A very enthusiastic and good one at that. It took her a long time to get to that point, she was pretty ‘effed up by the time she was rescued.
She’s still mostly herself, happy and spastic at times, but she’s not without her baggage from the life before. She loves seeing other kids recover and get to be... well, kids.
Dragon’s beloved shawl was taken from her early on, due to being too much of a hindrance/hazard in a fight due to it being so loose and baggy. The cloth around her wrist and her foot are all that’s left of it. She’s never without it.
She still feels extreme guilt over those she killed. She no longer self harms, but she still cries a lot when she’s alone, especially when waking up from a nightmare.

Very deep cut where her tail nearly got cut off once. She didn’t get proper care for that one, the area around the cut is numb to her.
Two of Dragon’s teeth are longer and stick out of her mouth, much like they would normally all stick out as The Imp Monster.
Thicker elbow fur. Dragon doesn’t like wearing anything but tank tops or short sleeves now, as it’s uncomfortable any other way.
Extremely large toe claws.
Much longer and crooked tail.
