this might just be a me thing but i feel like there are moments where i feel like i should be upset but im just... not. for example a few weeks ago we had to give away one of our dogs, and i feel like i should have been upset about it, but really i forgot about it by the next day. and years ago when my mom told me that one of our neighbors died in a car crash, i was just like "oh okay" and it makes me feel kinda bad because i feel like those things SHOULD make me feel something.

This is a pretty common autistic experience. I’m like this too, sometimes I see something that I know should upset me, but it just.... doesn’t. And sometimes I over-react to something that shouldn’t bother me that much
