A Most Curious Collection of Rejections and Counterfeit

[STANDSWAP 2K19 - START!]

[I know I’m super late to the party but I finally got out of my funk and I wanted to join the games! Shitty art too, I know, but I honestly did try, these designs were just... ambitious and I fucked up a lot. But I really do wanna introduce them!

Circe Moon / Nightbird Flying- Circe was a former nurse. Kind and empathetic, her most remarkable feature is her ice cold skin (and her two mechanical legs, not that she would ever lift her skirts for anyone) Constantly seeking warmth in thick and heavy dresses and overcoats, Circe worked in the long-term care unit. She had an extraordinary ability to convince people, allowing her to handle more difficult patients. However, it was Manuel who caught her attention, her most beloved patient and one she knew would be better off in her own care than that of the hospital. Her stand, [HEART SHAPED BOX] allows her to implant suggestion into people’s minds that they will eventually enact upon their own will. Those who follow the first suggestion will have their free will kept in an ornate music box when retrieved by her stand. She can only keep one free will at a time.

Skye Ramone / Rainy Day Dream Away -  a strange child dressed as if her were pulled out of WW2 London, wrapped in a heavy raincoat and dawning a gas mask, the child seldom speaks, if they have ever spoken at all. The name Skye was given to them by Circe when she had discovered a nametag within the coat’s collar. However, the coat could very well have belonged to another. The child comes and goes as they please, but tend to stay close to their new family. Their stand, [ALL APOLOGIES] takes the form of an umbrella with an owl head at the hilt and a spearhead at the tip. The sharp point Skye uses to antagonize a target, encouraging them to attack, and should Skye defend the attack/assailant with the umbrella, the umbrella will then take shape of whatever attacked it, including, but not limited to, inanimate objects, people, animals, and even other stands. [A massive thanks to @sales-arts-and-crafts​ for being the mastermind behind Skye’s design. Honeslty it is more theirs than mine, and I am eternally grateful] 

Dolly Bonham / Dolly Dagger - A former circus performer, they worked for a travelling circus with a variety of acts that ranged from blind knife throwing to acrobatics. Dolly was always particularly fond of repairing abandoned toys. One in particular they grew attached to was a counterfeit Mickey Mouse doll which had been abandoned by a child. They attempted to return the ruined doll and the child’s parents had spat at the gesture, saying that the doll was merely trash and could be replaced. Dolly spend time repairing the doll to the best of their abilities. The doll, [SLIVER] is a bound stand. If Dolly tastes the blood of a target, the doll will gain life and sentience, hunting its target down until they are dead. Once on a hunt, SLIVER cannot be recalled. If destroyed, whether by fire or other means, the doll will reform after some time, manifesting back in Dolly’s possession, reset.

Manuel Desperaux Cobain / Manic Depression - Born with an odd form of cerebral palsy, Manuel was always barely mobile. His joints twisted inward due to brittle bones. He required constant care, most of which he recieved from his parents and his brother. As he grew up, physiotherapy allowed him to gain the ability to walk with mobility aids like crutches. His brother had left after some time, deciding to find his own life instead of feeling responsible to preserve his brother’s. Though embittered, Manuel continued to try and live on his own, independant, as to prove his brother wrong. At age 20, he suffered from a severe seizure while attempting to cook for himself, which sent him crashing down onto a hot stove, scorching his face beyond recognition and repair. It was in the hospital where he met Circe, his nurse, and was taught to communicate through morse code by tapping his fingers against the arm of his wheelchair. His stand manifested shortly after being admitted to the hosptial. [LITHIUM] is a mysterious ability that can cause people to slowly lose physical sensation in their body, steadily numbing them until they can no longer move and, eventually, numb the organs until they cease to function.

Bordeaux Bost  had been instructed to kill since he was young, resulting in losing the ability to feel emotions and even has a hard time to understand it or expressing it. Soon after one inevitable moment, he realized he needed salvation and in need to “fix” himself.

Barolo Bastone had vowed himself to follow the word of the Lord until he finally wished for something more. He believes to achieve happiness in the world, one must pursue instead of just waiting and praying. He will do anything to get what he wants.
