alright the reason i unfollowed you was because i didn't like the way you spoke to me one time. i reblogged something, you came into my ask and told me it was wrong information, i accepted that and told you my point of view on this issue however i feel like i was completely dismissed and treated me like a bit of an idiot as i saw it. (1)

as you’ve expressed before, i’m young, but that does not invalidate what i think or feel. i felt crap after it and thought “you know what, i don’t have to put up with this”. my whole life people have refused to take me seriously and i’m sick of it. so i unfollowed. (2)i don’t owe an explanation to anyone but here i am, because yes, franky you refused to drop it, not me. if you must know i do have more impotant things to think about, e.g my grandma died last week and i’ve got the most important exams of my life going on right now yet you and nic continue to believe i am just a young childish kid who’s here to be “sly and unessecarily rude” (3)

I’m going to respond to this publicly, not to shame you but because it contains things that everyone should know before following or interacting with me.

I am autistic. As a result, my social skills in some areas are rather weak. I’m matter of fact and sometimes blunt. This does not, of course, invalidate how you feel. I don’t intend to come across as dismissive and rude.  Honestly, I never do. I’m just not always aware of how what I say might come across to others. I don’t wish to use it as an excuse either - I am sorry to have hurt your feelings. I was unaware I had done and how though.

I openly invite any of you to let me know if I do seem to brush you off or something. Chances are I genuinely did not realise I came across that way and I certainly didn’t mean to dismiss you (or anyone else). I’d definitely appreciate the chance to apologise sincerely and try to learn from my mistakes - this socialising thing seems to be trial and error lol.

You’re right, being young doesn’t invalidate your thoughts or feelings. I know fine well what it’s like not to be taken seriously, especially with my neurotype lmao. So I am genuinely sorry I made you feel that way. I pointed out you’re young because when I was younger I was far more impulsive and even less self aware.

As for not letting it drop… I literally haven’t spoken about this unless directly asked or prompted to. I don’t see how that’s wrong of me but if it is, feel free to point it out. 

This all happened long before your grandmother’s passing but I do offer my deepest sympathies. You must be going through an awful time. Whilst I’m still annoyed at the tone you took in that ask about me, I wish you well with your exams. You’re a very smart girl so you shouldn’t have much of an issue. 

As I said before, I really am sorry if you felt I dismissed you. I think this could have been handled much more easily and possibly saved our friendship, but I do know I can have an issue with the way I speak to people. Believe me, even my parents call me out on it daily. So I appreciate I probably made you feel awful. It wasn’t my intent and I would have apologised much sooner if I’d been made aware of the issue.
