An announcement for all cycling loving Costa fans!
We have some very exciting news for you. Cyclists love their coffee which is why we will be sponsoring the UK’s top ranked pro-cycling team, Rapha Condor Sharp, during the upcoming Tour of Britain, which will take place from 9th to 16th September 2012.
It is an extremely exciting time for us to get involved with Rapha Condor Sharp as the team have embarked on a new adventure, by switching its focus to develop young talent, as it continues to support the growing UK racing scene.
The team includes many talents, one of which is Olympic champion Ed Clancy who won a gold and a bronze medal at London 2012.
But what does all of this mean? During the Tour of Britain, the Costa Express logo will be appearing on the team’s clothing as well as on their bikes. Costa Express will also be available during the tour at VIP Breakfasts and at the Finish to refuel cyclists and fans.
You can follow all updates on the Tour and progress on how the cyclists are doing on our Facebook page and our Twitter account during the upcoming weeks.

I was helping Rapha Condor Sharp at the Tour Series, and we were parked next to Endura. The Endura lads, McEvoy and Wilkinson, were taking the mickey out of me pinning numbers on the jerseys. Bibby kept telling them to stop, and asked me to redo his race number, which I did. The next thing I knew he had me pinned against the car and we were getting hot 'n' heavy. Then he got called to the start and left me there. I watched the race. Bibby was second and Rapha sacked me for cheering him on! Bibby then drove me home... that's when I awoke.

For reasons unknown, I had to go to a dairy products training course for work, featuring such fantastic educational tools as cow-bingo and handouts of milk marketing bumph - including a Rapha Condor Sharp article (Ed Clancy features in the current ad campaign for milk).
As I was getting off the train on my way home from the course the whole RCS team turned up & took me to a very fancy cinema with comfy reclining seats & a cocktail bar. Luke Mellor held my hand (he had - probably has in real-life too - absolutely enormous hands that made mine feel like doll-hands) and Felix English looked on, sad & perhaps a little jealous.
(PS It should be noted that my conscious brain has no interest in these boys beyond their skills on bikes!)
