You ran through the sewer pipes, looking for your best friend, Raphael. There had been a fight, and you wanted to make sure he was okay. He was in the dojo. “Raph! You okay?” He pretended not to hear you. He kept punching the punching bag.”Raph!” Your usually cheerful, loud voice got even louder. He stopped punching the bag and started towards you with a snarl on his face. “What? Whatdya want, Y/N? Wanna lecture me again, like Leo? Like Donnie?” You shook your head. “No. Not at all. I just wanted to make sure you’re okay.” He snarled. “I’m fine. Oudda my way.” He pushed past you, running out of the lair entirely.
2 weeks later...
You hadn’t seen Raph for weeks. Neither had the turtles. Or April. You were all getting worried about him. That is, until he showed up. With a girl on his arm. He introduced her to everyone. “This is G/E/N, guys. She’s my girlfriend.” Girlfriend? Your world stopped. Girlfriend? You couldn’t see. You couldn’t hear. It was impossible to move. When Raphael saw you, he was perplexed. But you smiled. Smiled until your face hurt. “I’m happy you found someone, Raphie. I was beginning to think you’d be alone forever.” And the spell was broken. You were no longer rendered inert. All was normal again. Or, so you thought. It happened again when he proposed to her. You stopped breathing. Your Y/E/C eyes filled with tears. You forced a smile and pretended the tears of sadness were tears of joy. But, oh, did you cry that night. Alone, in your room, you cried. You cried until your stomach hurt. And when your mother, M/N, walked in to check on you and saw your Y/E/C eyes and brown cheeks hidden with tears, she just held you. As you cried, she murmured, Shh, Y/N. Shh baby. It’ll all be okay.
Oh, how you wished you could believe her. “He’s getting married, mommy. He’s getting married, and it’s not to me.” Your voice She held you tighter.
‘Oh, baby, then he’s a fool. You keep your head up high, you go to that wedding, and you congratulate them. Because he’s not worth your time.” She then dried your tears and sat you up. “Now, who’s gonna be okay?”
“Me,” you mumbled, almost incoherent.
“Say it again. Louder,” Your mom demanded.
‘I’ll be okay.” you said, your voice cracking, just a little. You kissed you mom on the cheek. Wiping your eyes, you said, “Thank you, mama.” She smiled. “Of course, baby. Now, get off me. You’re too old for this.” Laughing, you tumbled off her lap. You slept a little more soundly that night. But only a little. You weren’t okay yet, but you would be. In time.
That’s it! Lemme know if I should do a part two or not!
Jennifer Meets the Turtles (Part 1) (2016)
A soft sigh left Jennifer’s lips as she reached her apartment’s rooftop from the fire escape. She saw the small stool she placed down the previous night was still there. As Jennifer started walking up to the chair, she took off the black bag that hung off her shoulder. When she walked up to the stool she set the bag on it and started unzipping the said bag. She opened the bag and pulled out a Cannon camera with purple tape on the strap. She looked at the sky and saw the sun beginning to set. She smiled softly as she started putting lenses on the camera. Once the lenses were set, Jennifer turned towards the horizon. The sky was a mixture of shades of red, orange, yellow, and even some pink. She brought the camera up in front of her face to look at the sun and began taking pictures.
Photography has been Jennifer’s passion since she was 10. Which is before she lost her hearing. It took a while to adapt and continue her passion in silence, but she did. Landscape and nature pictures were her favorite. And living in the city of lights, she is able to get amazing pictures.
Once the sun was completely set the city lit up. And after about three hours, Jennifer decided to call it. It is a school night as well, and she promised her parents she would stop staying up super late.
Jennifer yawned softly and walked over to her stool. She rubbed her eyes as she sat down. She looked down at her camera screen and started going through her pictures. She normally takes at least two hundred pictures a night. And more then half of them she’s satisfied with. The bright screen of her camera was just making her more tired, so she decided she’d go through the pictures later. She hopped off the stool and brought up her camera bag and placed it on the seat. She reached for the strap that hung around her neck and began to lift it up when she saw something move out of the corner of her eye. She paused then turned around. Three builds away, small shadows landed and stood. Almost like they were discussing together. Jennifer pulled out her phone and checked the time,
‘11:30’ it read.
Jennifer looked and saw the shadows were still there, one looked like it was pacing back and forth. She wasn’t sure if they were people, but then reminded herself that she saw the shadows jump onto the roof like they were doing parkour. Jen being the naturally curious girl she is, she needed to know what she saw. She flipped up a small piece of her camera and brought it up in front of her face. The camera wasn’t that focused. Jennifer took a few steps closer to the edge of the roof then looked again. Almost focused. She tried to zoom in which is the best she could do. She put her finger on the silver button at the top and inhaled.
She pressed the silver button and a bright flash of light-activated and her camera captured the shadows. She stared at the screen for a second, when the flash went off, she saw green for half a second. She lowered her camera and looked at the rooftop where the shadows were. But they were gone. Like they just vanished. Jennifer shrugged her shoulders and turned her back to the edge of the building. She sat on the edge and looked at her camera. She was really eager to see what those shadows were if she got them. She wouldn’t care even if it was just two people doing parkour. She just needed to know to ease her curious mind. She tapped her camera screen to look at her photos. When the photos opened, she pressed the ones she took of the shadows. She looked at the screen confused when the picture popped up.
‘Are those shells?’ She wondered, squinting her eyes a little.
A little air was blown at her, but she ignored it because it was a little windy tonight. She zoomed in on the pictures. But she froze when she saw a large pair of feet approach her from her prereferral vision. She slowly looked up at the figure in front of her. There stood a huge turtle creature that was no doubt over 6 feet. The turtle wore a red bandana over his eyes and the top of his head. The things that stood out the most were his huge muscles and the sai he held in one hand.
Jennifer looked into his almost golden eyes.
“Give me the camera.” He growled.
But, Jennifer being deaf, she couldn’t hear him. She could’ve read his lips if she wasn’t locked eyes with the turtle. Jennifer backed up, forgetting she was sitting on the edge of the building. She lost her balance and began to fall back until someone landed next to the turtle and rushed up to Jennifer. The person grabbed Jennifer’s left arm and put its large hand on her back. Jennifer looked at the person and saw it was another turtle. He wore a purple bandana and had a pair of glasses over it. He pulled her back onto the edge then let go. Jennifer looked up at him. He was taller than the first turtle but not as muscular. The purple-clad turtle looked at the red one with a ‘really?’ look.
“I didn’t make her fall.” The red one shrugged.
The two turtles looked at Jennifer, who was calming down a little bit. Jennifer saw the goggles on top of the taller turtle’s head and the tech that was on the back of his shell. She looked at his brown eyes, which caused him to look back. Both making eye contact.
“Um Miss, we saw you take a picture of us and we’d like you to delete them.” The purple-clad turtle asked. Jennifer didn’t see everything he said, but she saw him point to her camera. Which caused her to pulled the camera closer to her chest protectively.
“Just give us the damn camera!” The red-clad turtle took a step forward. Which Jennifer did not understand at all.
“Can ya not hear us?!” He asked a little louder. Jennifer only understood ‘not hear us’
“No” She signed and spoke quietly, “I am deaf.” She added.
“Oh, well that explains it,” the turtle in purple said.
“I’m just gonna take the camera.” The red turtle huffed and quickly tried to grab the camera.
“Raph.” The taller turtle looked at the other and was about to stop him. Just as Raph was about to grab the camera, Jennifer smacked his hand away from it. Raph pulled his hand back surprised, then looked at the girl with a pissed-off expression.
“Let me handle this, Raphael.” The tall turtle held his arm in front of Raph,
“Knock yourself out.” Raph rolled his eyes and backed up. The taller turtle looked at Jennifer.
“Can you read my lips?” he asked slowly.
“Yes,” Jennifer signed and nodded.
“Good, so we would just like you to delete the pictures you took of us earlier.” The turtle explained. Jennifer nodded and pulled up her camera and looked at the screen. She found the pictures. Then stood up and turned to the turtle could see the screen. She selected the pictures then deleted them.
“There we go problem solved, Thank you.” The turtle looked over his shoulder at his brother. “That wasn’t so hard was it?” he smirked. Raph rolled his eyes and walked over to the two.
“What are you?” Jennifer asked.
“Mutants,” Raph responded crossing his arms. “I’m surprised you haven’t screamed yet or passed out.”
“Why would I?” Jennifer raised a brow. “I’m more shocked than scared.”
Raph looked at the other turtle then back at the human.
“My name is Jennifer.” Jennifer signed and said.
“I’m Donate-”
“We’re wasting our time,” Raph cut in, “She already deleted the pictures. Let’s move it.” Raph said.
“You’re right, we should get going.” Donatello looked down at Jennifer, “Thank you for deleting the picture. Also, don’t tell anyone about this.” He spoke slowly. Jennifer nodded and made an x over her heart and grinned. Donnie couldn’t help but smirk. He back away then turned to his brother.
“About time,” Raph said. Donnie ignored Raph’s comment and jumped off the roof. With his brother following.
Jennifer watched the two turtles disappear into the night. She smiled softly then looked down at her camera. She pressed the power button and turned it off.

=p So I’m writing out how my ladies met the turtles. This was Jennifer’s first encounter. Just with Donnie and Raph. I’m making a second part. Sorry of Raph or Donnie are a little ooc.
I’ve already drawn Jennifer for 2016. Realism isn’t exactly a strength but I’m working on it.
Sketching some 2016 Raphael, because I just want to watch the movies again and again and again and again. And again.
