i can’t stop thinking about this. we all thought raphaniel was seeing a blender. brennan thought raphaniel was seeing a blender. we can make a beautiful radish and cheese smoothie. but it’s not a blender it was never a fucking blender. it’s a garbage disposal. there’s nothing beautiful about throwing your friends into the gnashing teeth of something that doesn’t want to make something new, it wants only to destroy.

The Ravening War theory after finishing episode 1...

I think Raphaniel poisoned the king. That is all.

man. brennan bringing up the Raphaniel/Lapin parallels right at the end of that episode. two men who served the bulb in name only, two men who had something else giving them power, two men who schemed and lied and in the end fought only to protect the people they cared about, two men who were killed immediately in the moment of realization. two men who couldn’t share the truths they learned about the world.

and the fact that raphaniel’s work then served to boost up belizabeth, who was then directly responsible for lapin’s death.. it kills me!!! the ways in which these two characters are connected!!!
