ok currently thinking about that exchange raps and gothel have

the whole "i love you" "i love you more" "i love you most"

i think it's really interesting. because for me thinking about that exchange it kinda highlights that gothel always has to have the last word. she needs to be in control, even if its an expression of affection. and its a ritual very natural to the both of them. i think it sums up their dynamic pretty well.

idk what do you guys think the exchange means, if anything?

after growing up with gothel as a mother I feel like she would have a hard time self-soothing when stressed. I think it would be interesting if her main way of self-soothing would be to physically comfort other people around her (even if they don't necessarily need it)

I can totally see her squeezing someone else's arm or rubbing their back when she's upset/stressed because theirs something in her brain that can't really bring herself to do it for herself.

it could even be to the point where people close to her like eugene could take her petting his shoulder or holding his hand as a sign that she may be stressed. (obvi not always she would be affectionate him when shes not stressed as well)

but yeah interesting little idea i had
