Haven't made a new intro post in awhile so here we go

Names Nnino, I'm 20 and a uni student.

I know a lot of other people make separate accounts to talk about their different interests but honestly I'm too lazy to do that so you're getting all of my interests, thoughts and art in one massive, disorganized mess.

This account is like the internet equivalent to my messy ass bedroom.

Ok so stuff I like: - arcane - very hooked on that atm I have a lot of thoughts about season 2 - rotbtd - yes I know this fandom is on life support and is cringe but its my comfort fandom. - httyd - just fucking love dragons man - dungeon meshi - Blue eye samurai - trollhunters - dnd - just anything dnd related I'm super addicted to it at the moment.

More than happy to share theories and talk about pretty much anything so long as convos about fandom in particular are respectful :D

Hey, you've mentioned Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons (I think that's how it went?) a few times, and it sounds absolutely fascinating. I wasn't around during that time, but I want to know what I missed. I guess my question is, how would you describe it? (Also, if you want to use this as an excuse to draw anything for it...well, I would not be opposed)

oh my god my time has come. so rise of the brave tangled dragons (rotbtd) was basically like crack-cocaine for anyone that was a tween tumblrina in the years 2010-2014 and it consisted of shoving the main characters of rise of the guardians, brave, tangled, and how to train your dragon together by any means possible and creating what i perceived as a twelve year old to be the greatest thing to happen to modern media. and i was completely correct so here's me using that excuse to draw:

What if I just... had a go at all of the HTTYD characters...

So here's Astrid and Dagur the Deranged 🙂‍↕️ I know they both wear armour, but I wanted to show off Astrid's arms HAH. Also, viking armour is extremely hard to research.

There’s a lot of contradictory information, and some pieces of armour were only used in very specific countries or regions. Plus, many of the records we have were written by observers who most likely described things based on what they were already familiar with, so SHRUGS.

I love the Viking era, but I don’t care that much about historical accuracy with stuff like this, mostly just the vibe (like, Astrid should technically be wearing an ankle-length dress and long sleeves if I did.) But I did want to base the armour off of something, so I ended up just… not adding armour. Maybe this is just their casual wear, pft.

Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West au for Jack and Hiccup!

For my version of this au, I imagined Hiccup as a former Sky Clan Tenakth who now lives with the Oseram in the Forbidden West, while Jack is a Nora outcast (I couldn't decide between white or brown hair for Jack, so you get both.).

Jack is the one who finds a Focus first and then shares that knowledge with Hiccup. I love thinking about what connects characters and why they’re drawn together, and in my mind, Hiccup already sees machines and the old world differently from everyone else, but he’s missing information to truly understand it.

He sees that Jack is actually using the Focus rather than treating it like an accessory, and Jack chooses to share it with him, offering that missing piece of the puzzle that Hiccup needs to truly understand the metal world. This turns out to be what Jack needed, because while Jack is smart, Hiccup is able to piece things together that jack wouldn’t have been able to do on his own, so they quickly end up relying on each other. I really wanted that trope of working together because: “you have something I want” until that becomes: “you are what I need.”

So, together, they explore the metal ruins and uncover the truth behind the Old World. Hiccup gets a machine companion (Toothless), and Jack gets a glider.

I’m also playing with the idea that all machines have ai like gaia did, so they’re actually capable of feeling and learning (it would probably depend on the species though, I don’t imagine a thunderjaw would be very fun to try and domesticate…), because I want Toothless and Hiccup to have the same connection as they do in the movies.

As for the designs, I mixed and matched elements from the artbook and the game itself. I have so many thoughts written down from designing them and from all the differences I noticed between the clans, but it’s literally pages long. If anyone wants me to ramble about that and share some of my thoughts, let me know!

I haven’t watched the leaked AtLA movie, and there are plenty of reasons why people might decide to wait to watch the new movie until when it officially releases in October. Me? Well, from the screencaps and gif sets I’ve seen, I’ve noticed something incredibly important is missing - Zuko’s lightning scar! There have been claims that the leaked version isn’t 100% complete, so obviously if I wait until October to watch it the final version of the movie will have Zuko’s lightning scar in its full glory, right? …right?

But seriously where is Zuko’s lightning scar? At best, it was a careless mistake, but at worst it was a purposeful decision to erase the physical representation of the culmination of Zuko’s character arc. Why would you choose to erase Zuko’s big hero moment??

After all, from pictures, I know adult Aang still has his lightning scar, and his scar was treated with Spirit Water (!!) and weeks of intensive healing by Katara. If Aang still has his lightning scar after all that, then adult Zuko should absolutely have his too. Aang and Zuko are supposed to be lightning scar buddies!

But hey, the leaked version isn’t the final version supposedly. Zuko’s lightning scar will definitely be there in the final release (a girl can dream…). In the mean time, I’ll be enjoying all the wonderful new fanart available, where luckily many artists do remember Zuko’s lightning scar.

I didn't know the show but reading the premise (couple's new house is haunted by the ghosts of people who died in the area) and the characters' descriptions got me so inspired, they're perfect for this AU!!
