First things first, you gotta like her boss. Enemies of Damath are also enemies of Amarys, that's just how it be when you're a bodyguard.
But apart from that, she's pretty easy to get along with. She enjoys a good conversation and being treated like she belongs as part of the group and isn't just 'The Help' (which is a very common sentiment she experiences, being a jadeblood bodyguard surrounded by seadwellers), and she loves being personally invited to social events of both the formal and informal variety.
She doesn't expect to be treated like her own person given what career she has pursued and doesn't feel bad when she is only seen as The Bodyguard by others, so it really does go a long way for her when people are actually interested in her as a person.
