I grew up with this color and no one liked it. The year was 1976 and my parents bought their first luxury German car: a used 1975 Mercedes Benz 450SE.  It came in Anthrazitgrau metallic.  At that time, this color was not popular.  Many referred to it as metallic primer.  This color on a Porsche was unheard of in those days.  People were busy ordering their 911s in red, black, or shades of brown.

Let's have an air-cooled celebration of an early spring. Last week was Groundhog's Day and Punxsutawney Phil, the weather predicting rodent, did not see his shadow. We are in for an early spring. Many people immediately have visions of Easter egg hunts, flowers blooming, and birds chirping as the Earth wakes up from its winter nap. However, we car folks look at better weather a bit differently: car covers being stowed away, exhaust notes reverberating through the neighborhood, and twisty backroads filling up with vintage car enthusiasts.
