David Milaybuma (1938–1993) was one of the pioneering masters of Oenpelli art and among the first Kuninjku artists to paint regularly for Maningrida Arts & Culture. Renowned for his exquisitely detailed rarrk, X-ray depictions of crocodiles, Yawkyawk spirits and ancestral beings, he developed a distinctive style of precise crosshatching, optic nerves and geometric diamond designs inspired by the rock art traditions of western Arnhem Land.
