la scène 裸身 is a duet from Tokyo: female vocalist and bassist Saya and guitarist Eiji. Their producer is Atsuo of Boris (using his nickname fangsanalsatan). I love their name which is basically a word play: la scène read with Japanese pronunciation sounds just like 裸身 (rashin / naked body). The band themselves describe it like that:
"la scène" is a word the band uses to represent the Japanese word "裸身 (rashin)," meaning "naked body". Using simple and subtle expression, they express the universal and infinite place which connects our senses in this world to worlds beyond. A duo made up of vocalist/bassist Saya and guitarist Eiji, the band's sound approaches slowcore and acid folk, with slow-motion dreamscape guitars and whispery vocals.
They have so far released one album, 天の赤道 (Ten no sekaido / Celestial equator). You can listen to it on their bandcamp HERE.
