ICYMI, the 38th annual Raspberry awards have been awarded to the WORST movies of 2017. Did the movie you hate the most take down an award??? I’ve always stupidly enjoyed this low-production value ceremony quite a lot, even sometimes more so than the academy awards that are on tonight. Hope to make this a yearly thing next time. Shout out to that lackluster editing though!!!
Tom Green won 5 Raspberry Awards for "Freddy Got Fingered" in 2002. He showed up in a white Cadillac, rolled out his own red carpet, and had to be dragged off stage because he wouldn't stop play a harmonica. source
So it's been announced that Ben Affleck is gonna play the new Dark Knight in the next Man of Steel film, that also brings the Caped Crusader and the new Superman face to face. Folks are in all sorts of uproar about it. But does any of it make sense?
Now, I'm not saying that Affleck is a brilliant actor. After all, in 2003 he got nominated for the Worst Actor in three different movies (which he won). But, regardless of whether I believe he can do it, there's no harm in giving him a try. Especially when there's not much that can be done about the damn thing...
People thought that Anne Hathaway couldn't do Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, and that Tom Hardy wouldn't pull off Bane. Yet people were not concerned that a Brit was carded to play the single most American superhero in comic history (maybe even more American than Captain America) - Superman.
