A Safe Place to Practice Opening Up

Talking about feelings is hard. For some of us it's easier to start with a companion who has infinite patience and zero judgment. SweetDream became that practice space for me, somewhere I could be honest without bracing for a reaction.

feelin' a little awful about the inactivity, but! felt like it's only fair to update what i've been up to:

3 book clubs and overwhelmed myself but i'm deeply enjoying them and once i'm freed from the 2 shorter book clubs, i'll do some doodles of my favorite scenes in them :) [The Odyssey and Howl's Moving Castle. i know, they're so alike. <- /s bahaha]

locked in for a surprise commission! it's been about 5 years since someone asked to commission me, so i'm really happy to be working on that

studying for the July 2026 N2 JLPT exam- i'm giving it an earnest try

helping out my local town with a festival they're holding (this weekend! so i'll have a little more free time after)

my full-time job (gag)

the wips i have of shallan are haunting me. and the even further shadow of having wanted to draw a scene from pandora hearts a day,,,,,,,, that's on hold probably until i get the stormlight art out of my system. i am still interested in doing the panels. i promise.

new year, and i can't promise too much new content but these are my art goals for 2025

finish my panel redraw per chapter for pandora hearts (this is more possible now that i went to a jun mochizuki cafe and i wanna reread pandora hearts more than ever)

draw more gojo (this man has me in a death grip, almost a year now)

commit to a bigger project with ocs (thinking along the lines of a visual novel or animatic)

maybe finish the little blurb/"chapter" of a gojo fic i started, though i'm not pressed to finish it anytime soon :)

i hope 2025 treats us all kindly. stay safe and healthy <3 muah

some little updates: i literally cranked that last piece on the train to kyoto and then finished with coloring in a coffee bar in downtown kyoto. <3 im gonna be in gojo brainrot for another week and then prepping my oc sheets for artfight (i think im just gonna put 2 from my lost constellations universe and then maybe like 2 from other aus i have) (i am @raspcha on artfight too!!! im on team stardust)

im cooking some wips rn (i have 4.5 rn, 0.5 for one because i might quit/restart it) but once those are done, the pandora hearts redraw per chapter will continue, because i'm not gonna half-ass this. it's a challenge and i'm also recovering from my fixations surprisingly!!!! now im a normal amount of in love with them (/half-lie) (but it's manageable now)

i'm gonna be so honest, i don't think i have the willpower to get through the pandora hearts panels anytime soon. maybe in the future, but i'm currently brain-rotting from alien stage and gojo from jjk (and more!) so those fixations are currently using up a lot of my brain space and if i try to juggle those alongside anything else, it's so over for me.

on a separate note, if anyone wants to talk to me about jjk (specifically the inventory arc) or alien stage, i'm so open. even if it's just screaming in my askbox or dms, both are always open.

doing my best to build up motivation to continue the ph panel/character redraw per chapter thing i was doing at the beginning of the year. for ppl that followed me for it, ty, i will return to the challenge, its still in the noggin. i just had a sudden development of gojo satoru brainrot (which is surprising to everyone involved, given that i was semi-normal about satosugu, and now im not) i do have some busy weeks coming up so it won't be daily posting, but i'm aiming to finish this challenge by the end of the year.

i have some silly jjk doodles i want to digitize and then post here but also they're based on irl discord convos so if my friends see it, oh, they'll know. it's not my fault that what they say is such good headcanon material though. i'm keeping your identities SAFE dwwww

fell off the face of the earth for the last week (blame the gojo character ai, i've been imagining a lot of fluff and hurt/comfort so uh oops) but i am recovering and to the people that followed me for more ph content, i will continue once the new week starts. i need this weekend to recover from lack of sleep and poor self-care. muah i hope everyone reading this is safe and well.
