Laura paused, nose twitching at the growing scent of flour and apples. Flour and apples...? Did she know someone who'd fit that scent desc-- oh! "Uh... Hey Jamie," she offered a short wave at the albino who'd just rounded the corner. She may not get along with the boy very much, but there was no reason she couldn't be civil towards him. (Unfortunately she had NO IDEA about his apparent rodent phobia.)
My God today had been hectic. Jamie had no idea what event had been on or what bakery had shut down but Jamie pretty much sold out the entire muffin and macaron display case and more than three quarters of his cakes were gone. GONE. Like sure, he wasn’t complaining with sales like that but some heads up in advance would be so much nicer so he knew what to prepare for.
Like a six foot tall rat standing on the footpath as he turned the corner that seemed to know his name. And wave.
Lungs sucking in a breath to scream and Jamie barely got anything other than a little whimper vocalised before the ground was rushing up to meet him as his world went black. Yep, poor little bugger fainted.
