FYI: Twitter has started rate limiting unverified users to only viewing between 500-800 tweets. This is very concerning since this indicates to me that Twitter is making very little in ad revenue and is trying to make up the difference with Twitter Blue subs.
Make sure to tweet/retweet your Linktrees, websites, etc to communicate to peeps where you're active because this foreshadows further instability on the platform.
LinkedIn’s hard limits (not rate limits)
Every social platform has both hard limits (you can do [activity] a maximum of [number] of times) and rate limits (you can do [activity] a bunch, just not all at once, slow down, buddy).
Casual Spreadsheets is usually more focused on a social platform’s mysterious algorithms (and rate limits), not their boring old “hard limits.” This focus is partly because algorithms and rate limits are less documented secret black boxes, so it’s more useful and fun to talk about them. Feels kinda like gossip. Hard limits can be easier to track down in official documentation, so researching them for you all feels less helpful.
But sometimes even hard limits aren’t public. Or they are, but they’re not organized in an easy-to-read way. So here we are.
Some LinkedIn HARD LIMITS, neatly written. Let’s go!
Maximum 1st-degree connections: 30,000 (source: LinkedIn, June 2016)
Maximum number of groups you can be a member of: 100: (source: LinkedIn, June 2017)
Maximum number of groups you can be have pending memberships in: 10 (getting into rate limit territory, people) (source: LinkedIn, June 2017)
Maximum number of (@) mentions you can put in a group conversations: 20 (source: LinkedIn, June 2017)
Maximum number of groups you can manage: 30 (source: LinkedIn, June 2017)
Maximum number of members a group can have: 20,000 (source: LinkedIn, June 2017)
Maximum number people you can follow: 5000 (Not connections (those are mutual) just follow (one-way connections). Also, this is unconfirmed from an unofficial blog post from 2014))
Dunzo.

Well the Rate limit is back, don't know what to say except I will not be on tumblr for the next little while in hopes that this can be fixed. I believe this had something to do with my blog being terminated last week
Just out of curiosity, has anyone out there experienced this?
What happens to me is I will go on my activity and click on someone who has reblogged me, and when I go to their site, see a pic I like, click on it ⬆️ pops up. Or if i go on their archive ⬆️ pops up. Is this happening to anyone else or am I the lucky S.O.B
Well, we will see what happens next

twitter is melting. haiii
The elongated did a thing and bolluxed twitter on july 1 2023. “rate limits” for viewing posts. Folks got frozen. The “temporary” refers to an announced minor increase in rate limits later.
Also, if you didn't know about limits on Tumblr, download the new X-Kit to see them for you. But, in general, these are the limits. Just ignore that I can follow 0 more people until midnight.
