I think maybe it’s time to redo this bit. I’m not so much a rat anymore, right? It’s a little bit sad, but… It’s a little bit happy too.

I’m Rae! Nice to meet you! I like pasta and eggs and people and going to the park! I don’t like tofu and sunburns and big cats like lions. I want to be an electrician but I need to do a lot of school first because I forgot a lot of things.

[a plate of about two dozen deviled eggs appears on the nearest table]

[Rae startles at the clatter of the plate, her bunny’s ears squishing up under her chin. Dad is in the kitchen… And mom is at the table taking notes, so…]

[She eyes the plate warily and doesn’t touch it, waiting for one of her parents to come take one first. For good measure she squints at the bunny too, since she doesn’t know where it came from even if it didn’t just suddenly appear.]

(you now have a stuffed bunny. it looks like one of those peeps but its a plushy)

[Rae gingerly picks it up off her pillow and looks around for where it might have come from.]

Did mom give you to me, bunny? I didn’t see… Umm. Well you didn’t come from nowhere, did you?

[She tucks it more securely under her arm and pads back out into the living room, having entirely forgotten what she originally went into her room for.]
