Seelie.

So called ‘good’ fairies are said to belong to the Seelie Court.

They are enigmatic and occasionally helpful to humans, Seelie are rarely malicious nor do they cause harm without provocation but should never be taken lightly or fully trusted, for fairies and men have different ideas about what it means to be ‘good’.

In Songs of Heimurinn Trolls are not mere beasts, they are sophisticated creatures with a rich and ancient culture, they are similar to elves in the sense that their motivations are often mysterious, one can predict what a Troll might do, but one can never know why they do it. Though unlike elves, who enjoy luring mortals into their forest home Trolls do not like uninvited guests, their mountain halls are either well hidden or their great doors barred to travellers, Trollen prefer to bring their mischief to us, often in a raiding party or warband, sometimes they simply steal beer and peoples shoes, sometimes they raise a town to the ground… and sometimes they will run to the aid of people overwhelmed by superior forces, even if it kills them all, one can never know which it will be as they come charging down the mountains laughing and singing in their great deep voices.
