Queen of Swords
Here's my entry to the Silent Hill Tarot project by @sameasthem
“I'm going to Silent Hill” Heather was raised by her loving father, away from the teachings of The Order. This peaceful life was torn away from her with the specific goal to spite her. To fill her heart with hatred. She sees the Order as the monsters that killed an innocent man. She knows she can't call for help, she can't even call the funeral services for a dignified burial. The choice is clear and her morals are unmovable. The Order is wrong. What kind of God can be born from suffering? Despite her journey being fueled by grief. She resists her end goal of killing Claudia. Heather tried to teach her there is no magical way of fixing life. Suffering will always be a part of it. With this card you've learned how to deal with your troubles. And are ready to make your move. Go kill God. (◍•ᴗ•◍)✧*。Personal thoughts. I know Heather keeps saying that she will kill Claudia. But in canon she never pulls the trigger. She even seems distraught when she is pulled into the hole to give birth. I know she seems foolhardy and impulsive in her choice to go to Silent Hill. But to me, at the time I first played, it seemed the only logical thing to do. It seemed brave. And from the moment she met Vincent she always questioned the beliefs of this rotten cult. “Is every person here a mental case?” As for the card design I decided to replace the Throne with a Wheelchair to tie with a perpetual motion forward. And also add a medical motif, but I'm not articulate enough to flesh that out. But y'all know how hard it is to find a diagnosis? Here with my card I wish that you find one. And now with all the knowledge you should know what to do. I added the rollercoaster since I always thought it was funny how straight it was? I guess in this card the emotional rollercoaster is steady. It's also what jolts Heather awake in the beginning of the game so, it's important, to me at least. In the sky you will find the SH1 monster “Air Screamer”. As a little nod to Alessa and also Harry's journey through SH. Also as a memoir of Harry I made sure Heather's Necklace was visible in her wrist, in the hand that points forward.
