Rolls his eyes with a smirk. “So you’re his guardian.”

Achilles said nothing but nodded. "It's fine, I'm just going to let him fix his business. I'd simply be distracting him." The food was burning.

Patroclus tends to the food, allowing Achilles his.. time..? “Achilles... do you want to talk about it?”

He could see the way his words had confused Achilles, watching his beautiful features shift from adoring, to confusion, to concern. Of course, it was not without reason; Patroclus disliked his mother, very much so, because of her hostility toward him during his lifetime. But there was something he wanted to ask her, or rather, to ask of her.

“She cannot harm me any longer, Achilles.” Patroclus assured him gently, settling himself so close there was little space between them. “I wish to know because there is something I wanted to ask of her. I wished to know if, perhaps, she would join you here, if only for a little. I know you must miss her so.”
