Review: I can’t believe I forgot to review this before because this is one of my favorites. It’s so cleverly written! I don’t want to spoil anything, so I’ll limit myself to saying it’s a good thing the fic is so short because you’ll read it once and then immediately want to read it again, looking out for all the bits strewn about the fic here and there that hinted at the ending and seeing what a good job the writer did. It’s great ~ Admin P

Namjoon is a terrible angel. Jimin is a terrible demon. They're both pretty interesting humans, though.

Review: I love the concept of immortal/magical beings being confused and clueless in the modern world, and clueless angel Namjoon is no exception. He’s clumsy in his new human body, he’s awkward when it comes to human interactions, and maybe with Jimin’s help he might actually survive. All the other members also make their appearances and they’re great. The fic is very well done and entertaining, also humorous at times, and it all makes me wish for more ~ Admin P

PG | Seokjin/Jimin | One Shot: 16k | Notes: Library AU, Wizard AU, side taekook

A comprehensive list of things Seokjin expected when he took a job at the library:

1) a decent paycheck to mitigate his growing student loan debt 2) time to catch up on his reading 3) and by "reading" he means his DS. He's going to play video games. 4) admittedly this is bordering on ironic seeing as he's a librarian but a chef's life isn't all about food, so he figures a librarian can enjoy other pursuits. 5) his would be, though. If he was a chef, it would be all food, all the time.

An incomprehensive list of things Seokjin did not expect when he took a job at the library:

1) a talking seagull. 2) did he mention the talking seagull, because he feels like no one is properly panicking about a talking seagull? 3) oh, and also a wizard places him under a curse. 4) sorry, correction, a wizard places him under a spell. There is obviously a very significant difference, apologies Jimin. A spell is so much better than a curse.

Review: I feel like this writer truly lives up to their name; I always end up smiling to myself while reading their fics. It’s just such a light, adorable, and funny little tale - I really liked all the shenanigans, even the ones mentioned in passing like Jimin’s accidentally turning Yoongi into a turtle. You can also guess what the ‘talking seagull’ refers to and I have to say I absolutely love the idea. The romance is also there, but subtle, sneaking up on us and the characters as we read along until the realization hits. It’s great ~ Admin P

PG-13 | Seokjin/Jeongguk | Novelette: 32.5k | Notes: College AU, dating sim, otome game, fluff, comedy

Jeongguk woos Seokjin the only way he knows how: by treating it like an otome game.

Review: I love so much about this fic. The way it blends in otome/dating sim games into the story is great; the writer even drew game screenshots and added them to the fic which makes it all even better! It’s such a cool and fun concept, especially for me since I enjoy these types of games, but you honestly don’t need to know much about dating sims beyond the fact that the main goal is to get together with your love interest. Jeongguk is also a big awkward nerd and his attempts at using game knowledge to woo Seokjin are pretty funny. Cute and lighthearted, definitely a great read ~ Admin P

R | Namjoon/Jimin | Novelette: 24k | Notes: Military AU, Medic AU, blindness, hurt/comfort, fluff, slice of life, implied homophobia, mentions of ableism

From a prompt: au where jimin is a medic and namjoon is a lieutenant who becomes blind after a bombing

Review: This was just beautiful and full of emotions. Both Namjoon and Jimin have a lot to deal with after the bombing and seeing them lean against each other and little by little recover is really sweet and the emotion builds up slow in a way that left me really satisfied and full of feelings for Jimin and Namjoon. Their recovery was handled really well and with care. Bazooka also writes from both points of view and the way they wrote Namjoon’s perception of the world was very well done and just the whole fic is extremely sweet and touching and great ~ Admin P

PG-13 | Yoongi/Jimin | One-Shot: 2.4k | Notes: Angel AU, pining, religious imagery & symbolism

Angels bleed gold but Yoongi bleeds black.

Review: Wow, this is quite the little gem I found! Short, but still rife with melancholy and irony. I loved the different take on angels in this fic, how maybe it isn’t all that a blessing but more of a burden, and oh how Yoongi feels burdened by it. The writing and imagery capture the gloomy mood well, showing just how much Yoongi’s feelings contrast with everything, so bright and holy, around him. It’s a lovely read ~ Admin P

there’s a familiar itch in his fingertips again, cutting through the rush of anxiety in his veins. there’s a sketch of the man’s face in the back of his history book, a slight scowl, critical and imposing. but seeing his face in person again, he realises it’s all wrong. the features aren’t fine enough, too soft in the drawing, and there’s none of the sharpness in his eyes. he takes his time drinking in the man’s face, he’ll attempt it again later and get it right this time if it kills him.

‘you again, huh?’ jungkook jumps as the elder squints over at him, cocks his head to the side. ‘do you not own paper? or are you just under the illusion that you’re a badass or something?’

Review: Being as much of a fan as I am of the side platonic sugakookie in A Hollow Tune (which we reviewed here) I was excited about a fic dedicated entirely to them and wow, this fic does not disappoint. It delivers so much more than I was expecting! Their dynamic and platonic relationship are as amazing as ever, but the fic delves into the latter in a way that I didn’t expect. They go through so much, each develop and mature through the hardships, and to see them be there for each other is as sweet as it is heartbreaking. It’s a lovely, touching fic that can be read as a standalone and is a great fic in its own right ~ Admin P
