Ilya wanted to tell Shane that it had been one of the best days of his life. It had been awkward, sure, but Ilya felt that, if he hadn’t quite been already, he would be welcomed into Shane’s family, and that was no small thing. In fact, to Ilya, who had barely been welcome in his own family, it was huge.
He wanted to tell Shane that the closest he felt to home was when he was with him.
Completed star shawl, made with Sultan Deluxe yarn from Hobbii. I really love how the beaded tassels really make the rest of the textured design of this shawl *pop*.

This one was made for the O2A2 (One of any asset) game jam, so there is only one real sprite, but the way they revealed Alexander as a yandere is pretty cool, even if the game is relatively short.
The story starts with Alexander coming home from work and cooking dinner for the MC. As the food cooks, Alexander talks about his day at the bakery and how one hold up with an old lady lead to a more angry crowd. Alexander seems to plan to move him and the MC out to a different area, as he feels as if the townsfolk are too nosy, and wants the MC to be able to go out more. After finishing the food, Alexander tries to feed the MC only to reveal that her mouth is taped shut. Alexander seems nonchalant about this, and we learn quickly that not only is the MC kept in the basement, but she's also caged as well. The MC begs Alexander to let them go home and that she wonder about her job. Alexander states that the MC never liked their job and that he already put in their weeks notice. The MC asks about their friends and Alexander seems to contemplate on killing them, only stopping if the MC states that she love him. Unfortunately, this isn't enough to sate Alexander, so he goes out to kill them, telling the MC to be a good girl in the meantime.
This game is pretty short but given that there's only one asset they can use I think it does a good job in establishing Alexander as a character. Despite knowing that he was a yandere, its was pretty cool seeing the camera zoom out to show that they're not only in a basement but in a cage as well. The various dialogue that we can choose from the beginning was great in tricking the reader into thinking that this was a normal conversation and in turn lets us look deeper into Alexander's character as a yandere. Like dang the zoomout on the cage was super cool.
Alexander as a yandere is definitely a lot more delusional than he initially seems. It is pretty cool that we get to see his point of view, in a way, how he imagines that the MC is responding to him by asking questions about how his day went. That and even when she begs to let her go, he seems nonchalant about it, like this isn't a big issue, and that things will always return to what they used to be. I do like that he also gaslights the player when she asks what she'll do for her job, basically using her own words back at her, and when she begs him not to kill her friends, he completely disregards it and goes off the kill them. It honestly seems like he's not aware of how terrible his actions are and that he's not even quite there. Like when she spits out the food, he simply states that the foods is too hot. The type of yandere who seems to disregard how bad his actions really are. And I think that's pretty neat.
The game is pretty short, but I think it is a good introduction to Alexander as a yandere. I would love to see another game that introduces him more and talks more about how they all got into this situation in the first place.
This has become my fav sonadow piece that I have drawn. I love the idea of them comforting each other under the stars, when they are alone and can be vulnerable with each other. Sometimes, you just need a hug 🖤💙

Six weeks later.
“How badly does this clash?” You gesture down to the navy shoulder sling your arm rests in.
His brows simply raise, not even justifying giving you a response. You straighten the strap of the brace against your pantsuit.
“I think Morgan is excited at the idea of being able to beat your marksman score while you’re like this.” A worse profiler would miss the lift on the edge of his mouth hiding a smile. You don’t miss a beat.
“Does he know I can shoot left–handed?” You grin.
He shakes his head slightly, but finally gives you a real smile.
“I don’t think he’s thought that far ahead.”
“Tragic.” You tsk.
HIs expression shifts slightly, growing more serious and observant of you.
“You’re in a remarkably good mood.” He comments.
You shrug as best as your shoulders will allow, “Perspective is everything.”
His gaze drops to your ankle. The monitor stuck out from your pant leg, he nudges it with the tip of his shoe.
“And that doesn’t bother you?”
You look down at the ankle monitor you have been graced with for the last six weeks. Realistically you were lucky to be released from custody with all things considered, so the ankle monitor felt like a small sacrifice. Garcia insisted upon bedazzling it so you wouldn’t be stuck with such an eyesore. You look back up at him, a light look on your face.
“I’ve been stuck with worse accessories.” You nod down to the sling and his jaw tightens slightly.
“I’m serious. You’re about to face a committee that will determine your potential sentencing-
“Woah woah woah!” Morgan smirks walking up, having caught the short game of footsie. “We’re in a courthouse!”
“Yeah, are you ready to be rid of your bling?” Garcia grins at your ankle.
“Eh, it could be worse.” You shrug, “It’s kind of flattering that they were this concerned I would be a flight risk.”
Rossi rolls his eyes as he walks up, “As if that would slow you down. You ready for this, kid?”
“Yeah, fingers crossed there’s no senators on the board.” You add sarcastically.
“Enough.” Hotch commands, you hide your smile. Not fast enough for him to miss it however.
“Look at you two, already here.” Morgan smirks looking between you two.
Emily grins while walking up with JJ, “We thought we’d beat you here.”
JJ steps forward to give you a quick and careful hug, “How are you feeling?”
“Like I’m about to face a panel of people who have already made up their minds.” You offer a simple smile.
Reid holds up a hand to point, "Statistically speaking, panels like this are more likely to be influenced by consistent testimony rather than pre-existing bias-”
“Reid.” Emily warns.
“Right,” He says quickly, “Sorry.”
There was still time before the hearing would start. You’ve seen everyone within the last week, but you haven’t been able to return to work. It’s been different, you haven’t slowed down like this ever in your life. You can’t deny that it’s been nice to see Aaron outside of the office instead.
When the team all got to go back to work, you invested your time in something else. You asked for JJ’s help and expertise, but really threw yourself into helping all of the teenage recruits that were in Division. You needed to heal and wait for sentencing, and depending on how that went you needed another path.
The night you killed Percy, hundreds of teenagers were arrested. You knew what it was like to think Division was the lesser of two evils. Most of their home lives were bad enough that Division was their escape, you weren’t willing to send them straight back.
Rossi was a proud investor in the program you developed to rehabilitate them and get them focused on their future. He was quick to write you a check so you got it off the ground fast enough to help them as they were starting to be released. Garcia was phenomenal at helping find extended family members for them so if they didn’t want to stay here with the program, they had a new home to go to. You’re also facing a different board next week to argue the reallocation of Division funds for the new youth program, hoping to be able to extend beyond former Division kids.
“Has anyone been to see Gideon?” You ask, breaking the lull.
They exchange glances between each other, some dodging your gaze. You had been bothering Aaron for weeks about if he was planning to see him or not, but he would simply say no every time you brought it up.
Reid catches your eyes one too many times and feels obligated to say something.
“We know what he did, and I don’t think any of us need closure from him.”
You look across all of their faces either seeing nods of agreement or the same look on their face as Spencer. You found out after the fact that when you were still unconscious, Gideon called the team to taunt them. It had clearly affected them more than you thought, you assumed Rossi and Spencer would see him at the very least.
Aaron glances to the doors behind you, “They’re ready for us.”
The mood shifts. Everyone gives you reassuring smiles and nods, before moving together. As a unit, like always. A long panel sat at the front of the room. Government officials, legal advisors, and you’re sure that’s an unimpressed senator in the middle.
You sit at the table in front of them, Aaron takes the seat to the right of you. The rest of the team takes the seats behind. From this spot you can read the names of everyone including Senator Tabitha Kelly. You’ve heard she’s a real bitch.
“Agent L/n,” she begins, “your actions over the past few weeks include kidnapping, assault, murder, and the unlawful detainment of a former United States Senator.”
You so badly want to comment on how she prioritized the charges, clearly one of these is more offensive to her than the others. You keep your face neutral as she speaks.
“Yes, ma’am.”
She leans forward sharply, pointing to where you sit with her pen.
“I would say that ‘unlawful’ is an understatement.”
You hold her gaze, “He confessed, he was a criminal.”
“That does not justify your methods.”
“No,” You reply calmly, “But it stopped him from hurting anyone else.”
A murmur ripples across the room. The senator finally breaks the scowl she has when she looks at you when she looks over to the other panel members. You can see Aaron clench his jaw next to you.
“You killed someone.”
“She turned herself in.” Aaron argues, jumping in.
“As you were about to catch her.”
Aaron holds up a hand to stop her, “We were not about to catch her, if we found Y/n and the Division site it was because she wanted us to.”
“Fine, let's hear testimony from your unit.” She pauses to look down at her sheet to call with distaste, “Starting with Supervisory Special Agent Aaron Hotchner.”
He stands and faces them with a calm and composed look. You can see something sharper hiding underneath. Something protective.
“Agent L/n’s methods are not standard, but neither was the threat.” He waits to let that sit, “Her actions were necessary to dismantle a reformed Division, an organization that never should have been allowed to exist again.”
His eyes don’t waver as he looks over the group, “She’s done it twice.”
A subtle shift in the room, the group stares at you while Aaron continues to talk.
“She did not act recklessly, she acted decisively in a situation where delay would have resulted in further loss of life.”
A beat. Aaron nods to them before taking a seat. They call up JJ next, she walks up and stands next to your table. She offers a softer presence than Hotch, but still unwavering.
“Y/n was a child when Division took her. Everything she became in that program was forced on her.” She turns from the panel to look directly at you, “But everything she’s done since? That’s who she actually is.”
JJ refocuses on the group, “She protects people, even when it costs her everything. She would put herself on the line for anyone, and she didn’t have to go back to them and fix this mess but she did. She knew what would happen if no one stopped them.”
"I trust her with my children, she's a part of our family."
She places a gentle hand on your shoulder before returning to her seat. Dr. Spencer Reid is next, standing quickly. He clears his throat a couple times before speaking.
“Statitically speaking, individuals subjected to prolonged coercive conditioning, like Division, have significantly reduced the likelihood of successful reintegration into structured ethical systems.”
He looks directly at you.
“Agent L/n is an anomaly. She not only reintegrated, she excelled. Her metrics, case contributions, and behavioral consistency all indicate a high-functioning, ethically grounded individual.”
You smile back at him.
He adds, “She chooses to do the right thing. Repeatedly.”
“Special Agent Derek Morgan.” They call.
He stands slower than anyone else, more grounded as he makes his way to the front of the room. He tucks his fingers in his front pockets.
“I’ve seen a lot of people try and play hero, most of them don’t know what it actually costs.”
He gestures to you.
“She does.” His voice tightening a bit, “And she still shows up. You can call what she did reckless, I call it necessary. Division would still be here today without her, but we’d also be without a lot less people in the world. That fact isn't up for debate.”
Emily was next, she shakes her arms out loose at her sides.
“I’ve worked undercover, I’ve lived in gray areas, and I’ve even had to face a panel like this.” She scans over all of them, “What Agent L/n did? That wasn’t gray. That wasn’t for herself. That was survival, strategy, and control in a situation that was designed to strip away all three.”
She tilts her head, “You don’t get that kind of composure by accident.”
“Peneolope Garcia.”
You can hear her heels coming before you see her in your peripheral vision as she makes her way to the front. She already wipes away a stray tear.
“Y/n L/n is one of the best parts of our team, she brings out the best in all of us and makes us want to work harder and be better. If you’re being measured against her, you’d want to try harder too. But that’s not even the best part about her, I made a mistake. I sent her information that led her straight to Division.”
The panel looks shocked at her admission, but she plows on ahead.
“She never once blamed me, she took the guilt right off my hands because that’s who she is. She cares so deeply about people, and she’s had a rough upbringing but I don’t think she did a single thing wrong. She saved herself, took down a dangerous group, and then called us to make sure we could finish it.”
She wipes her face again.
“She’s not dangerous, she’s the reason any of us are safe.”
Last but certainly not least, David Rossi.
“I’ve been doing this a long time, long enough to know the difference between someone who enjoys the work and someone who carries it.”
He looks over at you.
“She carries it. She takes a piece of every victim and she’ll endure anything to bring them home safe. And even after everything she’s been through, she came back. She’s here today wanting to do more, wanting a chance to continue to help.”
Rossi returns to his seat and the board turns and looks at each other.
“We will deliberate.” Tabitha sets down her file and folds her hands in front of her.
Just like that, you’re all left out in the hall waiting. The second the doors shut behind you, the tension snaps.
Morgan exhales, “Well. That was… something.”
“That senator hates you.” Emily winces.
You smile faintly, “She’ll get over it.”
“Debatable.” Reid mutters.
Garcia loops an arm through your good one, “You were amazing in there.”
You smile at her before looking back up at Aaron.
“That was intense.” Reid admits.
“Not as intense as whatever they’ve got going on.” Emily gestures between you and Aaron.
You roll your eyes and Aaron just blinks.
“Don’t even start.” You shake your head.
JJ laughs softly, “Oh, we are absolutely starting.”
Garcia perks up, “Wait, so we can officially acknowledge the dramatic kiss?”
“Took you two long enough.” Rossi chuckles, clapping Aaron on the back.
You glance at Aaron and pull your arm from Garcia’s before looking back at the team.
“Are you guys done yet?”
“Not even close.” Morgan shakes his head.
Aaron, to his own credit, didn't react. Which only made it worse.
“So…” Emily leans in, “Does this mean we have to start calling him ‘sir’ more or less?”
You smirk, "Definitely less.”
“Y/n.” Aaron warns your name, his cheeks dusting pink.
Garcia claps once, “Oh my god, I love this!”
Morgan steps into the circle the group has formed, “Alright, bets.”
Emily blinks, “You’re kidding.”
“Nope,” he shrugs, “I say she walks, full clearance.”
“Optimistic.” Rossi comments.
“I say conditional. Probation, maybe.” JJ joins.
Garcia shakes her head, “No way, she’s walking. She has to.”
“I just said she was ethically grounded.” Spencer sighs.
“Pick a side, Reid.” Morgan points.
“...Walking.”
“Same.” Emily agrees.
You look at Rossi waiting for his answer.
“They’d be stupid to put up a fight with you!” He leans forward and presses a dramatic kiss to your cheek, “She’s walking!”
You laugh and shake your head. Everyone looks to Aaron, waiting for his answer.
No hesitation, “She’s coming back.”
You look up at him, a small smile tugging at your lips.
“Confident.” You lean against his side, he wraps an arm around to bring you closer.
“Certain.” He agrees.
The doors open, you pull yourself away reluctantly. They all file back in and the panel is seated again. All of their faces are neutral and unreadable.
“Agent L/n.” The senator calls and you stand. The room stills.
“We find that your actions, while… unconventional…”
Your jaw tightens slightly.
“...were in the interest of national security.”
Her scowl from earlier is finally gone.
“You are cleared of all charges. You are reinstated to your team effective immediately, pending standard psychological evaluation and…”
And?
“-with conditional close monitoring.” She pauses, “By Supervisory Special Agent Aaron Hotcher.”
You can hear Morgan cough loudly behind you. Emily has to turn into his shoulder to hide a laugh.
“Agent Hotchner, do you accept those terms?” She looks at him.
“Yes, ma’am.”
Before someone can stop you from pushing your luck, you clear your throat.
“Ma’am?”
She waits.
“There’s one more thing.” You look across each member, “Michael Bishop and Nikita Mears were formerly Division who have more than earned their freedom. I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for them, and I just ask that their records be sealed so they can move on.”
You’re met with silence as they look between each other, nobody looking convinced.
“Considering you have a redacted file of what I’m capable of, I think it’s in everyone’s best interest for us all to move forward, including them.”
A couple throats clear before nodding across the group.
“We find that we can accept these terms.”
You smile and offer them a quick thank you. Aaron gets up from the chair next to you and guides you both to the exit, the team following behind.
“Did you just kick off your new chance with the federal government by blackmailing the committee?” He asks as you walk down the aisle of the room.
“Kind of.” You smile, daring to look up at him. He has an openly proud smile on his face.
The second everyone cleared the doors outside, they explode. Morgan lost it first.
“Oh that is perfect!” He laughs.
Emily joins in, “You have got to be kidding me.”
Garcia grabs her, “She’s being supervised by her boyfriend! This is my favorite day.”
“Okay, okay!” You hold up your hands.
JJ points at you, “You cuffed him to a car and ran! You don’t get to complain.”
Your jaw drops at the reminder and the shock of being called out on it in front of everyone. It’s something Aaron still loves to tease you about.
Morgan leans in and throws an arm over Hotch’s shoulder, “So what’s the first check in like? Candlelit dinner?”
You roll your eyes, but are still smiling. Aaron finally looks over at you.
“You ready to get back to work?”
You meet his gaze. The same spark. The same fire.
“Yeah,” You pause, “Try to keep up, sir.”
The team erupts again, you start moving down the stairs to lead everyone away from the building. You take Aaron’s hand in yours, the team following behind trying to decide where to go for food and a drink.
For the first time, it felt normal. Chaotic. Teasing. A little inappropriate. Exactly how it was supposed to be. You were exactly where you were supposed to be. You were finally home.
an// you guys, this is it! once again, thank you so much! i have enjoyed every second of this. love you all!
