Could you advise me/us on how to erase previous captions so that our interactions don't appear to be stair-cased?

To be honest, if you don’t have xkit or any other extension/script, we’re not sure how/if you would be able to edit a post when reblogging a thread.What we do suggest is that you download the (new) xkit and then download the ‘Editable Reblogs’ extension, which should change the format back to the previous reblog system that allows you to edit them. There are also some scripts that you can find, but Admin Ree personally finds xkit easy enough to use. 

(Editable Reblogs, not to be confused with the Edible Reblogs… ;D)
