I know exactly what you mean... It’s difficult to have our voices heard regularly here online and while it’s not a competition, it always seems like Aboriginal communities get handed the short end of the stick. Even during a day, designated for us to feel proud of who we are and the culture and heritage which others tried to swallow and repress, there are attempts to make us feel like we are doing something wrong... I find quite a number of those declaring themselves to be SJ’s to be absent whenever Indigenous Tumblr makes any noise.

jehan/feuilly in a magic au? :D

1) Jehan comes from a magic family, with a very traced long line of powers, and artifacts passed down, some of which fascinated a tiny Jehan whose powers were already beginning to spark.

2) Feuilly always knew he was different, and in time, he’d be able to put the word “magic” to it. However, growing up, it was just one more tool he could use to survive, without any real knowledge of what it was or where it came from.

3) As unbelievable as it sounds, Jehan met Feuily after the latter had been living with the former for some time. Jehan had found a stray on the street and taken him in… not knowing that it was actually a human cursed and bewitched. They were both shocked when the spell broke, six months later, one because he had no idea, the other because he was certain he’d be in this form forever (though life as a cat with Jehan had been… comfortable to say the least, and if not wonderful, then pretty darn close.)

4) Jehan mainly works with herbs and plants, both in their growing and in their usage. He wouldn’t call himself a potion master by any means, but his mortar and pestle are Very Important and No You Can’t Touch Them.

5) Jehan and Feuilly both have some empathy mixed in with their gifts. It makes good moments especially wonderful, and bad moments very tense, but it’s integral to who they both are.

Ahhh Franternité IS awesome. I think I have names for less than half of them too. >__>

I try very hard not to use first names for anything... it sounds very unnatural to me. But sometimes it’s unavoidable! And I suppose it’s nice to have the names ready just in case.

I choose names in a very boring way, though? I just look at a list, pick out a few I like, and then try to say it with the character’s last name to see if it sounds natural or not. Except in Combeferre’s case. I (...or his mother *handwaves furiously*) named him and his siblings after 18th century scientists. XD

Thank you!  It’s alleviated enough that I can actually look at my computer screen without wanting to cry, so that’s not nothing.  And I put the “I can’t use the computer” time to good use and made one of the journals for the giveaway.  So, at least I was productive?  (Not on any of the things actually causing the anxiety, but OH WELL, I GUESS.   -.-;;;)

June went by way too fast. I’m hanging on to the last days before the 23 so hard.

Seriously, being this stressed for time fucking sucks.  Especially when it’s 90% my own fault.  I just feel like I need a minute to breathe and I’m not getting it and I always feel behind and I NEED A BREAK.  :(
