Aditi Rao Hydari in Nallai Allai from Kaatru Veliyidai (Tamil, 2017)
Kaatru Veliyidai (personal review)
So finally I watched Kaatru Veliyidai for twice. First of all I wasn’t disappointed with the story. The real hero of this movie is definitely goes to Ravi Varman sir because his lenses has captured everything beautifully ever. He did more than a justice. Beautiful casts and such amazing locations, and they look even more and more beautiful via his camera. Rather than saying Karthi and Aditi Rao, I would like to address them as Varun/VC and Leela. They have lived as the character. I wonder what Mani sir was having in his mind while choosing these two people. I mean he has chosen the best for this story. None could have played VC and Leela better than Karthi and Aditi. Aditi’s expressions and emotions through by her ethereal eyes, she just won our hearts. A woman with strong self respect and wanted to be loved but weak and vulnerable for Varun. Loving and hating him at the same time for Varun being so arrogant and self-centered person. Karthi - was that really you man??? Unbelievable and its a wonder for my eyes to see you played such a character with that much of ease. ( a fan girl request - please do more movies as this ) You’ve proved to people who were asking questions why Mani sir chose him - WRONG! At one point i felt like whacking you (means Varun and not Karthi :D ) for treating Leela so low in front of your colleagues. Coming to songs. ARR’s magic. A tango in Tamil and Rukmini is dancing. Wowwwww.. And then Azhagiye and Saarattu Vandiyila ( dance naala kaatchal vara payyanukku avvalavu azhaga aada solli kudutha Brindha mam ku NANDRI ) Full of loving and colorful and festivity mood was created for this songs. And the my very personal favourite Vaan. The songs visualization and Aditi’s pinkish beauty along with the heaven on earth full of snow. Ravi Varman sir has visually taken you for a small vacation to Serbia. And Mani sir, where on earth did you went and find such locations?? I mean look at your movies?? And the locations their set in? Be it those mountains and the glass house in Ooty and the locations for songs. (yaar enna sonnalum you’re the best in making movies sir) For me, when it comes to A Maniratnam Film, definitely there will be certain elements that we all love or something happens in our life too. And Kaatru Veliyidai is such a movie. It will be a movie close to your heart. And of coarse its a movie that is close to my heart after Mani sir’s Kadal. Thank you Mani Sir and the team for giving us such a beautiful and a brilliant movie. Only you can do this each and every time. Better to the best. And Aditi Rao Hydari thank you for doing this movie and we Tamil movies lovers, loves you to infinity. Kindly do more movies and we all loves to watch you. We(I) don’t want loose such a brilliant actress who can act, dance and sings well. :) :)
PS : If you haven't watch Kaatru Veliyidai yet, please go and watch it in theaters near your. It’s available in every country and state with English Subtitles.
