that   gets   a   laugh   out   of   pearl  :           advanced ?        compared   to   what   it   had   been   five   thousand   years   ago  ,        sure ,         but   it   still   felt   so   archaic   when   put   against   the   many   technological   wonders   of   homeworld                         even   era   one   artifacts  .         proper   communicators   had   only   been   invented   less   than   a   century   ago  ,            and   they’d   never   been   able   to   travel   to   other   planets !            though   one   had   to   admit   it   was   harder   to   do   all   that   when   one   was   born   without   a   purpose                       without   being   properly   able   to   walk   or   talk  ,       even !

however                       they   were   much   better   at   other   things  .           and   she’d   learned   a   thing   or   two   there   that  ,         if known  ,        would   have   her   shattered   without   a   doubt  .            but   things   are   different   on   earth  .           everything’s   always   changing   and   evolving  .         she   shrugs  ,           nods   almost   nonchalantly  .       “   oh   yes !         humans   have   invented   chemicals   that   let   you   change   the   color   of   your   hair  ,          and   they   all   carry   small   screens   to   communicate  .         they   advance   so   fast .    ”         if   anything  ,         there’s   the   opportunity   to   laugh   a   bit   more  .
