Uncle Sam is as close to a mascot as a flop of a country like America has, created as a propaganda tool to stir up jingoistic feelings in potential soldiers during the War of 1812, a personification of the country in the form of an old guy with a little beard pointing his finger at your head while wearing this little outfit and saying "I Want You," and you're like, Me?
