Infamous and legendary in the same time, “El Horreya” (arabic: freedom/liberty) used to be a place for leftist intellectuals, artists, writers, expats and locals to gather and socialize. Currently, it is one of a few remaining local bars where you can catch a beer in downtown Cairo.
