Certainly, it’d be my pleasure! Eshona wasn’t always a Necromancer. In fact, she never wanted to be one. In her youth, she was a mercenary, going around doing caravan protections and other odd jobs around Elsweyr. It was during these jobs she met her future wife, with whom she’d eventually begin her clan.  Eshona and her partner had three children. The oldest being their Pamar-rath daugther, the middle cathay-rath son, and the youngest being their alfiq daugther. Their clan also grew under Eshona’s leadership as she became older, the many things she’d done and seen in her youth helping her become an important figure. Her clan consisted of other family members like her siblings and cousins, but also friends like S’arani the Senche-rath and people, both khajiiti and non-khajiit, simply ‘adopted’ into their community.  During the Knahaten Flu, Eshona’s wife sadly passed away, as did a few other members. this greatly sadened Eshona but- their clan had to go on, so she did what she had to to save the other clanmates from certain death by flu.  Eventually, the euraxians arrived. When they marched into Northern Elsweyr, Eshona wasnt with her clan. She was on clan business to meet with a Baandari trader in Reaper’s March together with S’arani. the euraxians overran her homestead, killing her clan and taking the bodies of anyone fit to be resurrected with them. No one survived. So when Eshona returned, she found her home destroyed, her family gone, and only the body of her youngest daugther among the ashes of what was once her estate.  She has a deep distain for the necromancers who took her family but in her grief and her desire to stop Euraxia by any means necessary she decided that no. Necromancy wasnt just a tool for the enemy. It was hers to command now too. Eshona knows it is wrong, but she doesnt care- to her it is but a means to an end, to make sure no one else has to suffer as she does. She never raises the Khajiit dead, she only raises the imperials she slays to fight against their former commerads. Her only goal is to end Euraxias tyranny on her homeland. As for playstyle, I do enjoy the necro tank, but also have to admit it does kinda fall behind the DK or Warden tank. I wouldnt change Eshona to anything else thou, since it fits really well for her to be a tank! Sorry for this huge post, and thank you for asking!! <3

I noticed you haven’t leveled Ravens very much, are you going to try to remake her when the new Necromancer class comes out? It sounds perfect for her.

I actually leveled Ravens once already, but I ended up race changing that character and turned it into another magicka sorcerer. After that I recreated her as a low level sorc, just so I could hold on to the character concept and the name. I always felt like sorcerer wasn’t quite what I wanted to go for with Ravens, but I kept her around regardless, waiting to see if ZOS would maybe introduce another class… and it turns out that the class they plan to add is pretty much perfect for the character. :D So yes, I’m definitely planning to recreate my swamp witch as a Necromancer as soon as the new expansion is out

I'm having the exact same problem as you are, I saw the perfect place for one of my characters but I'm lost on the others. I thought Captain Margaux's or even Ravenhurst would be good for Noelie? A nice Breton home, mostly dependent on how much room she wants for activities. And maybe one of the ones in Craglorn for Davius? Or a nice Nord-style home in the Rift? I can't believe how elaborate they got with some of the houses! "I don't care how beautiful it is, Em, you DO NOT NEED IT."                

Oh, yeah, tell me about it! Some of those homesteads are absolutely stunning. It’s going to be a struggle to keep myself from buying some Redguard palace or Orc fortress, lol.

Captain Margaux’s place would indeed be nice for Noelie, but it doesn’t have a garden and I absolutely want one (already looking through a list of achievement items to decorate it with, haha). So, now it’s a pretty close tie between Ravenhurst and the Gardner House... The Rivenspire house feels slightly more like Noelie’s style, but on the other hand owning a place in Wayrest is really tempting, too. :D I think I’ll start with Meirami’s little Khajiit place and see how all that furnishing business works before I decide how much room I want to get for the other two. As for Davius, at this point I’m considering getting that Imperial house in Craglorn (because the place itself is pretty much perfect for him) and just... actively pretend that it’s located somewhere else. :’D

Do you have any tips for Imperial City? I really want to do the story quests but I’m not very good at PVP so I tend to do a lot of hiding and the whole place makes me anxious.

Hello friend!

The Imperial City is a such a fun area and totally worth getting in for a look around. The quests are really interesting.

I have a few tips.

1) Use invisibility potions (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, Namira’s Rot + whatever water you’re using, Lorkhan’s Tears for CP160+). This will allow you to get around mobs/players and sneak through an area if you’re in between objectives or cba to fight anything. Really worth doing! You can be seen via detection potions or mage light but if you’re not a nightblade, or don’t want to waste your magic with cloaking, this is the way to navigate the city.

2) Don’t take flags. Yes, I know it’s tempting and I know you get a Tel Var boost and it’s fun, but don’t do it. Anyone in the city who wants a fight now knows exactly where to find it. If you’re in a group, go for it. If you want to be left alone to quest, don’t bother.

3) Make a PvP build. This one seems obvious, but you can make a strong PvP build, or go for a high survivability build (Fortified Brass, Mighty Chudan or something) but when you get to questing you’ll probably run into some trouble. But making a build that can stand to take some hits, then pop a invisibility potion and run away is perfectly fine and gets you to where you want to be instead of dead at the hands of some OP vet PvPer.

4) Get some friends. Yeah I normally solo quest, or duo quest but my partner isn’t able to play at the moment. So I don’t really do this, but it is viable. Do a shout out in zone for some help navigating the zone or ask a guildie. Or find a friend who also wants to do the IC questline.

5) Play at night/play on a quiet server. If you have the ability, playing when the population of the game is lower is very useful for getting things done and having the city to yourself is actually really fun.

7) Stick to the questline. Most quest areas are PvP free. If you are glowing blue you’ll be immune to other players. The only problem comes from getting from A to B, and that can be solved with any of the other hints I’ve outlined.

8) Keep at eye on your map. The Imperial City can be confusing! Don’t venture into the sewers unless you have to and stick to where the quest tell you to go. If you’re on PC, get a mini map addon to help with navigation.

9) Keep an eye on who is in control of the flags in the area you’re in. If you see a bunch of players from your faction use them as a shield until you’re near where you need to be.

10) This is something I tell anyone getting into PvP: Death is inevitable. Morbid, I know. But in PvP there is always going to be some one who is stronger, who can get the jump on you and who will take that chance to kick your butt. That’s life in PvP areas. So, bank your Tel Var Stones when you have the chance (because other players can steal them), buy Sigils of Imperial Retreat (Teleports you back to the base. They cost AP). Keep vigilant for enemies and hide if you don’t think you can take them.

Have fun in the Imperial City! It’s a great DLC and lots of fun once you get the hang of things.

Out of curiosity, do you ever write things about your OCs? If so, how would one go about reading them? And if not, do you plan to?

I haven’t made any stories about them… yet. My work/studies have been so heavily focused on writing (non-fiction, but still) that I haven’t had energy for any personal writing projects in years. I do have a bunch of unrelated one-shots, pieces of dialogue, notes, and other character related scribbles scattered across my various notebooks, but it’s anyone’s guess when I can actually make something presentable out of them. Hopefully after my studies have been finished I can start writing for myself again, and complement my art and comics with some written work as well.
