“did you just flinch? i swear to god you just flinched.” calla lily stopped, placing her hand over her chest as she laughed and shaking her head as she moved closer to the other girl. although her words seemed harmless enough, by now rose likely knew better. she’d be an idiot not to. and yet still, calla was good at softening it all, making it sickeningly sweet. “all i did was walk into the room, rose, no need to have a heart attack.” she insisted, her eyes going wide before she flipped her blonde hair back over her shoulder. her gaze trailed along her sorority sister’s outfit, looking less than impressed although her stare lingered at places it shouldn’t before she spoke again. “you didn’t seem all scared of me last night, in fact, i thought you kinda liked me. really seemed like you did.”

“i swear to god, i’m gonna stuff garlic bread in your mouth if you don’t shut up.” hanna was hardly the violent type, but somehow roscoe managed to bring out the totally affectionate threats so easily. it wasn’t like she’d actually do much but maybe throw the bread at him at most, but since they were in public she didn’t want to stir up too much trouble. besides, it wasn’t her fault that she just so happened to take almost forever when it came to her meals. she was a slow eater by nature, and she didn’t mind if it got cold. “i’ve got like... two to go. that’s like nothing.” she reassured him. “and then i’ll finish my wine and then we can go...” the blonde narrowed her eyes at him. “do you even have anything planned or do you just really wanna go home?” failing her one attempt not to grin at him as she twirled her fork, she began finishing up what remained in her bowl.
