Deuxième beau weekend à Rawyl! Un endroit magnifique à bien des égards avec son barrage de Zeuzier, son lac, ses belles voies aériennes sur du rocher de qualité dans un cadre montagnard à 1800m d'altitude. Parfait pour l'été en bref.
I had my dose of epic this weekend with the send of Allah Akbar, 7a. Tough beginning on saturday, terror clipping the draws, got pumped in the 5.10 section at the top, just below the chains, took a huge 10m whipper... shouted out loud my rage and fear... I got back on the route on sunday. Started climbing feeling awful, legs shaking at the end of the vertical section. However, pushed myself through the crux entering the roof part and engaged a long mental fight to keep it together until the end, clipped the chains, ... what a relief! This route taught me a lot about mental control... but I feel like it won't be the last time... Thanks rod for belaying and everybody for laughing with me after my fall on saturday!
Always good vibes with the team! Fondue at the bivouac and swimming in the cold lake, until the final maxi-kebab back in Lausanne, good times. Looking forward to the next one!
