Featured Creator, Day 3– Binary Star | a pair of stars which orbit one another, caught in a gravitational dance

Creator’s notes:
Rayet/Asseylum is a ship that I didn’t care for much at first, but came for me slow and steady. The theme of binary stars works well for them too– Asseylum has always been a central figure in Rayet’s life (though not always positively), and Rayet was a pivotal one in Asseylum’s. They’re foils, of a kind; the Martian girl who had everything and the Martian girl who had nothing. Their personalities and energies complement one another, and they have the potential to bring out the best in each other. Rayet can keep Asseylum’s feet on the ground, and Asseylum can keep Rayet’s eyes on the stars.
So I whipped out this piece in an hour at an art event my college held this afternoon– pardon the roughness! I wanted an illustration of sorts to go with the fic excerpt above. Yep, fic excerpt! It’s just a teaser for now, but I might get around to it someday. Until then, visual art will have to express my love for this ship!
And that’s the featured post for Day 3! Apologies for the lateness~ and thank you all for your continuing participation!
