You got the call from Chris while you were at home "It's Ray he's hurt bad he needs your help". You run into your bathroom grabbing your med kit and car keys telling him your on the way hanging up your cellphone as you get in your car driving the fastest you ever have terrified how bad hurt he is, you walk in seeing chris's sister Michelle give ray pain meds as you see a bandana tightly wrapped on his leg covered in blood "It's you!" you hear seeing michelle's son Pete run and hug you "Hey petey god you've grown" you say him hugging him back as chris's parents walk back in from the other room seeing you quickly hugging before they grab pete and michelle going outside for a breather. You go to ray removing the bandana looking at his thigh carefully "Bullet's still in have to remove it then clean it up" you say opening your kit grabbing forceps "This is going to hurt alot" you say giving ray a tongue depressor to bite down on gently squeezing his leg while he groaned in pain trying to comfort him as you continue looking for the bullet finding it and putting it in a tissue seeing ray's head leaned back "Ray? you okay?" you say shaking him, "Ray look at me" he slowly leans his head up looking at you "I'm fine.." he says as you clean and wrap his leg as chris's mom puts her hand on your shoulder "Take him to your place dear" you nod helping ray to your car driving home as he holds your wrist slowly you take him in your place putting him on your bed helping him out of his bloody clothes into a pair of clothes you kept at your home for whenever he stayed the night with you which the two of you had done for years since you were kids. You and ray have been friends since the two of you were born being that your parents had been friends for years later on meeting chris the three of you being each other's keepers until he left for the military leaving you and ray to be each other's pea in a pod even when ray became an addict and a convicted felon helping him get clean and find work doing well for himself, you were sitting on your bed beside him quietly watching tv when he grabbed your hand "Thank you" you look over at him and at your hands "For what?" you watch him slowly lean up grabbing your other hand "For everything you've done for me even when we were kids and after chris left god you stayed even when I was strung out being such a dick" you see tears form in his eyes hugging him tightly careful of any bruises. "Ray you have been my best friend since birth you have always been right by my side never judged when I was dealing with things and I never did with you I was worried when you got on drugs but I am so damn proud of you that you're not like that anymore and sober" you pull away seeing tears run down his face "Oh ray don't cry it's okay" you say wiping his face with your thumbs then a tissue "I love you" he says as you smile rubbing his shoulders "Love you too ray ray" you say going to lay back down when he grabs your hands again "No I love you i'm in love with you i've been in love with you since we were 10 and i never thought you would want me so I kept it a secret you're the light of my life". You stare back at him slowly smiling grabbing his face and kissing him as he holds you back both of laughing as you fall over on the bed "I love you ray" you say as you both get under the covers and fall asleep holding each other knowing that when you see chris and his family tomorrow they all will be over the moon that the two of you finally got together.

Description: After having feelings for each other for years coming back home from the army with Chris and him finally getting you and Ray to tell each other

You smile walking out on the porch after hearing the familiar hum of Ray's car smiling as you see him and Chris talking to each other since the both of you came back from the army wanting to be back in the comforts of home. Ray smiles big when he sees you coming up to him and chris "Hey beautiful I'm glad your back too" you hug each other tightly laughing calmly as you hold each other making chris smirk in secret as you pull back to look at each other "Well looks like you're glad to see each other" chris says winking at the two of you shaking your head and rolling your eyes then looking at each other laughing but hanging out like the three of you did when you were still in school before you and chris left for the army where you both were for a couple of years deciding to come back together. You were putting up groceries when you see Jay pull in your driveway groaning as he walked up and inside having everything out and put up just wanting to change and watch tv but instead having to deal with jay putting his hand on your waist making your skin crawl and stomach churn pulling his hand away "Whaddya want Jay?" he smiles but in a very creepy way putting his hands on the hem of your shirt making you stand still and get angry "Well I want you honey" you push him away very angry as he stares at you like you had just hit him "Get out of my house I told you before it's done and I mean it" he soon gets angry charging and pinning you to the wall both hands on your throat as you claw them seeing dots in your vision. You thought you were dead barely seeing anything and hearing nothing but ringing in your ears until you slowly gained your vision back hearing yelling and see jay run out of your home while you lay in a ball trying to hide on the floor hearing a familiar and comforting voice talk to you "Hey it's okay it's me it's Ray ray" you look to see ray looking concerned with tears in his eyes gently putting his hands on your shoulders in a comforting way gently helping you up putting a cold pack on your neck and grabbing you a cup of water staying with you the rest of the week. You had always felt happy whenever you were with ray realizing when you were 15 that you were in love with him only telling one person and that person was chris who liked to tease the both of you knowing that you both felt the same way about each other but never told either of you the truth letting you both slowly figure out the truth from when you both found out til this moment between the two of you now. You and ray were currently just sitting on the floor looking at the sky from the window in your attic of the home you lived in as a child that you inherited from your parents who passed right after you and chris came back in town mostly living in it by yourself but chris and ray came and stayed giving you company along with your siblings and cousins sometimes whenever they weren't working or on vacation. You felt safety and love in this moment just you and ray in the attic not realizing that you were staring at each other until you saw the light from the lamp enhancing his features making you turn pink and him rub his neck until you slowly leaned in and he met you halfway leading to a passionate and whirlwind but sweet and caring kiss holding each other leading to spending the rest of the night in your room pouring out all the feelings you both held in for years. You both woke up the next morning putting on shorts and one of ray's shirts while he just wore boxers and a tank top eating breakfast on the couch watching tv when chris walks in going to sit down when he stopped noticing that ray was only in a tank top knowing he would normally wear them under his shirts and you were in a tshirt obviously too big for you "You finally did it huh?" the two of you look at him as he smirks "You guys had sex I can tell! Finally your not just drooling and telling me all about it!" he laughs grabbing a beer and food sitting in the middle of the couch until you all burst out laughing at what happened and watch tv.

"He clearly likes you why would he do that otherwise" Ray says following you after you come out of your bedroom from changing clothes having come home only a few minutes ago "I don't know because I've known him for 10 years and nothing has ever happened between us". You and your friend Jason had been friends for 10 years not as long as your friendship with Chris and ray but one of the longest ones you've had in your life so every chance you had to hang out with any of your friends you took but you didn't expect one friend to be mad at you for hanging out with another friend but here you and ray were arguing in your home while waiting for chris to come over so you could cook out and burn a bon fire. Ray had been out in town earlier to get some things for the cookout bonfire when he heard your laugh smiling but it disappears when he sees your arm looped in Jason's thinking that you were together and his feelings for you would not be reciprocated back immediately leaving and waiting at his place until an hour ago when he drove by seeing your car in your driveway parking and going in leading to now.
