Day 9: Relationships
Since Razor is another under-appreciated OC of mine who is in DIRE need of characterizing, I’ll talk about the Spino first:
Razor has better emotional intelligence, is less blunt and confrontational like Dynoraptor. Although, the Spino usually overanalyzes (extensive thinking period) out loud than the head Sharpie, but Razor can produce points that the Rapto's impatient brain never thought of.
Whereas Dynoraptor tells him to get straight to the point, Razor also pleads the head Sharpie to simplify his points since the head Brace Investigator cannot last a minute listening to Dynoraptor's complex vocabulary. Regardless, Razor is just as focused and tactical as the head Sharpie to sweep crime off the streets. But the head Brace Investigator devotes extra time solving "pacifist cases," such as providing comfort to his allies.
Now here's the answer to the Relationships prompt:
Will and Razor go way back at a science field trip in their elementary years. They've seen each other back at school, but it wasn't until their project in the Oma Kingdom.
As a result, the Spino learned that Will shared the same interest on chemistry and criminology and got to know the Rapto's perspective on each subject. They have butted heads on several occasions, many of them quite friendly. However, it intensified when Razor felt concerned about Will's growing workaholism once his father's murder turned cold. The Spino didn't want to lose a close connection: his emotional distance from his Primus Councilor parents being enough (and he's working on scheduling that). Not that the Spino doesn't like his older sister Ruby: they've been interacting with each other, but the Baryon doesn't share the same interests as Razor (though she's glad he likes talking about them).
Unfortunately, their relationship was slowly deteriorating until Razor was reported missing after his and Will's detective agencies were established. Adrenaline rushed up and the Rapto, now donning his Dynoraptor attire, focused on searching for his longtime colleague while the stress of the surging crime begins to take a toll on him until more Sharpies are recruited.
When his mother died from the alcoholic toll after her husband's killer was named, Dynoraptor felt hesitant, but surrendered to Razor's comfort. The Spino would then invite the Rapto to the former's house to rest and pent-up feelings would then be poured out, including the conversation about potentially improving their relationship.
So, is Dyno and Razor's relationship romantic and platonic? Well....let's have the detectives decide once they're ready to conclude their story.

OC-tober: Day 8 (Past)
Will Sharplock, the civilian identity of Dynoraptor, was born to a middle-class family in the industrial, but crime-ridden Primus Empire. He is the son of Nancy and Arthur Sharplock, the latter parent being a famous engineer, and the older brother of Chase Sharplock (Blitzoraptor).
During his childhood, an introverted Will first met Razor as a partner for a school project. The Spino is also the son of a middle-class family and has a younger sister named Ruby, whom Will wasn't very close with. Nevertheless, the Cutellos became part of Will's circle after discovering a shared bond between chemistry (not so much for Ruby) and criminology.
A couple years later, Dr. Arthur Sharplock had to go back to his workplace in order to retrieve files for a new invention one night. However, he has not returned home the next morning, and this worried the Sharplocks. After a number of failed calls to the missing engineer, they turned to detective(-related) agencies across the Primus Empire for new developments of the event. There had been numerous investigations to the site Dr. Sharplock disappeared at, but no evidence turned up and the case quickly grew cold as the Lumi Kingdom's winter night.
With no leads on his father's murder, rage began to build up on Will. For months, not only did a family member got ripped off from his life, but little evidence turned up and no one came forth to assist the Sharplocks. Worse, the mental health of Will's mother began to take a toll on her, as she became alcoholic. Because of these results, this led to the start of Will's infamous workaholism: he constantly studied all day and night, determined that he will become a detective and solve his father's murder himself. But this activity worried both the Cutello siblings (especially Razor, who shared a college dorm with the raptor) and Chase: they tried to lighten up the tragedy (though it was hard for the younger Sharplock himself), but Will refused to get "distracted."
After the trio (and Ruby) graduated, both Razor and Will founded their own detective agencies, The Sharpeye of the Rache Region and Brace Investigations of the Venari Region (the empire is split into two regions), while keeping contact with each other through a partnership (for the sake of the raptor's mental health) of both agencies. In addition, Will reluctantly accepted Razor's ridiculous "vigilante dress-up" plan to lighten the mood up. But in all seriousness, the older Cutello decided that the work on Dr. Sharplock's murder and the sudden rise of crime in the empire is to be shared between the agencies.
Suddenly, the work was cut short when the members of the Primus Council and, eventually, the Brace Investigators went missing without The Sharpeye noticing. The last time Will heard from Razor was the latter calling him on the phone that he found a lead on Dr. Sharplock's murder, and that was it.
A very pissed off Will, now known as Dynoraptor, checked on his friend's agency by himself to ensure Razor's call wasn't some sick joke and entered inside to see papers and furniture, some ripped, knocked over on the floor. The raptor immediately panicked and began searching for survivors, only to get ambushed by the Scarlet Bandits, one of the two crime groups, upon entering Razor's office (the last area).
The fight left a nearly limbless Dynoraptor on the floor. After the SBs left him to die, the raptor used his remaining energy to call Grippe (Patli Veneno), an experienced medic and member of The Sharpeye, on Razor's fallen telephone next to Dynoraptor. At this point, he really needed help to solve his father's murder and save the Primus Empire from becoming a playground for loan sharks.
