The Truth is Relative || AU || Open
"They must live with you now, you are their next of kin." Mana's ears rang from the shock of hearing what she was being told. “What?” She whispered out, thinking she hadn’t heard right.
"You have to take care of them now that their parents are gone… Poor child.."
Mana's eyes closed from the sudden shock. She hadn’t any idea of how to take care of a child, none, so how was she supposed to suddenly take care of one now although it was being demanded.
A deep frown slid easily onto her face. Poor child, indeed… She thought sadly. They had just suddenly lost their parents and now must come live with her because she was the closest relative. “When?”
"By the weekend it will be finalized…is that all right?" Mana only nodded, glad it was Tuesday. It allowed her a little time to get things organized around the house so she didn’t have to immediately rush to turn one of her spare rooms into a bedroom.
She wiped the sweat from her brow with her sleeve after she finally finished the new bedroom. It had all new furniture and arranged nicely, even the rest of the house was specially cleaned and tidy. Her golden-grey hues looked up to the clock — eleven thirty at night, on Friday, no less. Mana sighed softly, leaving the room with a long glance back on it before she headed to the bathroom to shower. She hoped the child liked the room if nothing else.
