Hannah Marks being awesome
I'm taking a moment out from my scheduled Sam Adoration to marvel at Hannah Marks because frankly, she is amazing.
I haven't even researched Hannah to the Mastermind-specialist-subject level that I have Sam but what I do know is: She absolutely slayed as Amanda Brotzman on every level. She gave Amanda vulnerability, intelligence, humour, and made Amanda such a complex and interesting character. Her representation of a woman with a disability, where the disability was important and yet not the most interesting thing about her, was brilliant.
Then she directed the film of John Green's novel Turtles All the Way Down, which I haven't seen (or read sorry John) but I know it deals with mental health in a positive and awareness-raising way, and the trailer looks amazing.
She's using her superpowers For Good and I love her for it. And now, this:
I'm sorry, from her own script?? So wait, acting, directing, screenwriting, producing... How much talent can one person have I'm not sure it's actually acceptable... and on top of that she seems genuinely, absolutely lovely <3
Ok that sounds...really good. I want to watch this. It's just a joy to see her going from strength to strength and I hope she's having fun too with all this :)
