A Journy to Paderborn: Battling Deutsche Bahn's Time Crunch
This Saturday, post-work, I hurriedly readied myself for a night out with a friend in Paderborn. Initially, I contemplated to take an earlier train (RE 7, the family disappointment) to Münster, sensing trouble brewing. But I brushed off that bad promonition, relying on a supposed 15-minute cushion to change trains in Münster, as I was assured by the app's prediction of the WFB RE 15's punctuality.
However, reality hit hard. Still in Greven, the app falsely claimed the train's on-time departure. In truth, it arrived a disappointing 15 minutes behind schedule, the exact time I initially had to switch trains. My last hope hinged on the possibility of the Paderborn-bound train waiting for a few minutes, as it was departing on the opposite platform. Yet, upon arrival in Münster, I watched helplessly as it departed right before my eyes.
I now had to wait a full hour at the cold and rainy train station in Münster for the next train to Paderborn. Deutsche Bahn, always keeping me on my tippy toes.
