A Morning of Mayhem: My Three-Hour Commute from Greven to Münster

On Thursday, I planned to catch the RB 65 at 8:37 AM from Greven to Münster. However, when I arrived at the station, the RE 7 scheduled for 8:23 AM was still on the platform, unmoving. As I later discovered, the RE 7 had damaged the overhead line, but at that moment, I was left in the dark, waiting in vain for any train to depart from Greven.
After waiting for half an hour with no progress, I decided to head back home and try again later with the WFB RE 15 at 9:45 AM, which the app indicated was still running. Upon my return to the station, the RE 7 was still parked there. The app then showed that the RB 65 would depart at 10:10 AM. Hopeful, I waited again.
Then came the announcement that passengers should seek alternative trains (not that there were any other options) because the RB 65 was overcrowded. Additionally, another announcement stated that the RE 7 wouldn't be running because other trains had priority—a baffling statement given that no trains were moving at all in Greven.
In the end, by sheer luck, I caught a bus heading to the Greven Rathaus, from where I managed to take another bus to Münster. I finally arrived in Münster just before noon, having wasted three hours of my day on what should have been a simple commute.
Yet another frustrating and exhausting experience, courtesy of Deutsche Bahn.
