As much as I wish I could just spend the rest of time adding "don't forget bipolar people" onto the odds and ends of posts for the rest of time, there comes a point where I just have to accept that no one wants to bring bipolar people into the conversation at all

And yes I'm referring to conversations about hyperfixations but truly that is the most mundane application

Why? Are our issues so small they're not worth including? Are our symptoms too scary to consider next to adhd? Have we not earned the right to be a soft and misunderstood disorder that needs to have a billion quirky memes about what it's like to experience it?

I don't want to act as if certain disorders are universally more "oppressed" than others because that's not the axiom that disorders are judged by. But when your mental health activism is maybe reblogging a "support a psychotic person today uwu" then I sincerely doubt you even know that bipolar disorder isn't shortened to bpd.
