Old Stagea 2.5GFOUR (RB25DE) 0-400m acceleration = 17 seconds 791.
If the engine changes, run
Will it change too...?!?
However, Nissan's move is aggressive. Putting aside the history of the past, what can be done now will be put into action immediately. Manufacturing that can feel such enthusiasm is becoming more active.
The development of the NEO engine, which was to be installed in the Stagea, is one of them. There are probably many current owners who would not be happy about the change in just over a year from the beginning, but first of all, I would like to express my support for the spirit of eliminating the stagnation of technology.
So, the performance of the Stagea given the RB25DE of NEO straight 6, it can be said that the difference became clear in a more concrete form after coming here to Yatabe. To be honest, it's hard to make a clear difference between the old and new in terms of feel in terms of absolute evaluation. The NEO Straight 6's improvement in terms of noise and vibration can be felt in a normal road test, but it's something that can only be felt through a comparison. In that sense, the conventional RB25DE should have reached a certain level as an inline 6.
Not only the specs, but also the feeling of rising speed, quietness, etc. have evolved remarkably.
However, while the conventional Stagea had a range hold time of 18.202 seconds and a manual shift time of 17.791 seconds, the NEO Stagea's time was considerably shortened to 17.447 seconds and 16.953 seconds. There is no obvious difference in the power feel itself, but you can feel that the overall level of sophistication has increased.
However, when we brought it to Yatabe and tried a full test, we had to consider the difference in grade and mileage, but the difference between old and new was obvious. First of all, you can clearly understand the performance difference 0-400m start acceleration data
The only thing I would like to point out is that the AT control is a little rough. I would like to improve the accuracy of the shifting shock when shifting up and kicking down, in order to improve the evaluation of the overall driving performance.
What else has changed?
2 new grades have been added to Stagea with minor changes. One is 25RS with Neo Straight 6 and the other is 25tFOUR with RB25DET. Until now, turbo models have been RS-based
Although it was originally set for the first time, it was introduced in response to users' voices saying "I want a turbo with a normal body". In addition, the 2ℓ series has also been changed to Neo Straight 6. The 2-liter DOHC engine seems to make the Stagea more fun to drive.
