I just knowing that in the early concept art of Ralph break the internet, there’s actually a villain who’s a anti-virus. Too bad, they didn’t make a cut into the movie… The anti-virus antagonist; who would doing anything to get their job done, and doing exactly what they program to be would be such a cool opposite to Turbo in the first movie.
The woman design seems to be what they’re going for the most, but the idea of old man yaoi got the better of me. ( toxic even )
1. It wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. Some jokes were actually dare I say funny. Absolutely overhated due to its release aligning with the peak of cringe culture
2. MILES better than Ralph Breaks the Internet I'm not joking. Maybe I'm the biggest RBTI hater of all time but the emoji movie is like a fucking saint in comparison. Sure it's the same manipulative 'ad movie' formula except somehow less egregiously bad. I think the biggest difference is the complete lack of currency/shopping apps in Emoji Movie whereas in RBTI that's all Disney can drool about. Where the whole plot is about MONEY. Although they both have weird performative feminism and Miranda Sings cameos I thought that was interesting. Both cases are worse in Ralph Breaks the Internet respectively.
The second Wreck It Ralph movie COULD HAVE BEEN ABOUT A cyber cafe I think it's called in english?? IT COULD HAVE BEEN ABOUT THAT
So either the movie could have been focused on PC games, or indie games, or those internet pages with a bunch of games!! You know, anything videogame, instead of, yeah
(More of my midnight insanity rambling below)
Maybe the cyber cafe could have been neighboring the Arcade, or Mr. Litwak could have brought some computers?? Arcade+cyber?? Is that a thing??
Basically creating a new videogame neighborhood(?)
And maybe the main main plot could have been about Vanellope being told to STICK to the program (You know since at the end of the first movie she's like nah I don't wanna be a princess, I'll be a president B) thing which also got forgotten in the second movie.... and also the whole teletransportation powers) by, let's say, Character A (which would be a new videogame character from the computer) bc ehhh something something internet gives them access to the wiki? With all the "canon" information or something like that
Maybe something something Character A is against ANYTHING that changes the game/program (ex: Minecraft mods, re-skins, etc)
And idk blablabla first movie about Ralph accepting himself, second movie about Vanellope accepting who she has become
Because, sure, other Vanellopes from other Sugar Rushes are probably more than ok with their programming, because that IS who they are
But our Vanellope's experiences shaped her to who she is nowadays
Soooo moral of the story, our life experiences are valid? And we shouldn't be forced to a previous version of ourselves under the guise that it's "the true one" bc our current self is also the true one??
Does this make sense??? I should be sleeping rn I have work tomorrow 💔
