Young and simplyfourteen. Petite and frail for her age. Which was probably why she tripped when there was nothing in her path to cause the incident. She had always been a bit on the thin side and her mother would always worry that she would stay that pale. Hyuna felt slightly awkward when she was out in the open like this as she walked, holding the straps of her backpack. She was on her way back home. Her mother was too busy working, trying to move from one place to another to personally talk to the investors of her father's company.
As she walked, she had somehow landed in the suburban part of Seoul. Seeing as she was not familiar with the city (only saw it behind the windows of their car), she had easily got lost. Her panic rose seconds after she had realized where she was. She looked around frantically, trying to find a single familiar thing in her surroundings that will somehow pinpoint her in the right direction. There was no such thing. She started walking away from her spot, reaching out to ask one of the many pedestrians that passed her ,but was suddenly struck by her shyness. Hyuna took her hand back and let it fall beside her.
She walked past the mass of bodies, feeling claustrophobic as she did so. There was a cafe just on the other side of the street that she could go to. She was sure that her mom's credit card had a bit of money on it and she could buy herself something to eat. Perhaps she could even borrow someone's cellphone and call her mother so she could pick her up. How can there be so many people in one place, she asked herself when she was finally able to breathe. She set her eyes on her destination and was ready to walk when she saw something. She turned her head and saw a group of boys circling around one boy. She couldn't hear what they were saying but she sensed immediately that something was wrong. Curiosity and the desire to protect whoever was in need just like her father taught her made her head towards that direction instead.
