theodora review cause omg that was probably one of the best romance vn app stories ever

this is long af and filled with spoilers

season 1 was probably my favorite story-wise. it felt like all the characters were a group of close friends despite the circumstances. john was probably my least favorite of the season, but he's important and gets better later so i forgive him. yoke's romance was so sweet and even though i knew her death was coming it still broke my heart.

season 2 was also really good. it's my least favorite story-wise, at least until the end. the characters were all good but i think antonio was my least favorite. charlotte was surprisingly great, i didn't think i was going to romance her because of yoke but she won me over. leaving without saying goodbye was absolutely heartbreaking especially cause i had no idea it would happen.

side note i think if theodora was ever made into a show they should have julian be played by the same guy as john, but with like a nose prosthetic and a tan, and have the actors name be an anagram.

also i feel like i messed up some plot stuff by being lazy and bad with names

season 3 was a perfect way to end everything imo. jamie's romance felt a bit rushed, especially cause of the unshown early stages of their friendship, but i enjoyed it. i feel like darius and marcus would be even more rushed cause of how late you meet them and how much plot there is before you get to smooching. i chose to let my theo become mortal so it felt natural to have her move on and be able to spend the rest of her life with someone.

now here's the real plot twist. after theo died i chose to let her find peace with charlotte.

i swore i would go back to yoke but after season 2's end and the scene in s3e8 i thought she was the right choice. yoke and jamie spent the rest of their lives loving theo and were able to have a family with her. charlotte didn't get that. plus the scene where theo runs away from her at the circus showed that neither of them were over it. i thought them finding peace together would give them the life together they never got.
