My PUB 2 ending & thoughts

This part was adorable.
Jack made his stance on AI very clear:
Which, for once, I totally agree with him. It’s a tool that’s nice every once in a while, but real people are better.
Jessie
We had the option of saving or not saving Jessie.
I chose to save her. It was a good thing because I got an achievement and diamonds for it.
Despite her betrayal, I actually really like Jessie. She’s got personality and made Searchlight a lot more entertaining.
My LI switch
I started out the series romancing Luis simply because he was there, then jumped ship and switched to Lachlan. I was expecting some kind of reaction from Luis when I all of a sudden started cuddling up to Lachlan in front of him. But nothing. I was kinda relieved yet disappointed at the same time.
However, it was a good decision!
Lachlan really stepped up as a character in the end. He didn’t do a whole ton, but it’s a volume series. He was brave, clutch, and supportive.
Now this is what I want. A guy who doesn’t try to fix things for me. He’s just there to provide support and back rubs.
Then this part made me want to barf:
🤮 While I approve of Lachlan’s good ol’ fashioned approach—it’s what I like too—calling it “courting” is just gross. He never mentioned marriage. He said he was serious about her. That’s good enough. They’ve known each other for like a week!
The end
The ending wasn’t much of an ending imo. They defeated the giant Vegas blob and everything went back to normal. But I would’ve liked a little more answers. Like, if Nina paid off her debt or if she was still working towards paying it off. It sounded like she was no longer living in Searchlight.
Then there’s Colt. I still don’t quite understand and never got an explanation. Was he not able to return to the dream realm? Was Luis not able to do it again? Did Colt not want to go back? Is he just a regular human now? If so, where is he living? Or is he just visiting and returning to the dream realm after their hangout?
I will say this. He looks so much better outside of cowboy clothes! SO MUCH BETTER. I’m not too sure if I like Lachlan’s new look though. He looks a little ridiculous.
But I really liked this end CG. ⬇️
What I like the most about it is how Asian my MC looks. She doesn’t look anglicized. Doesn’t have blue eyes. Doesn’t look like a K-Pop star, isn’t wearing cheesy dragon prints, doesn’t have colored strips in her hair. She looks realistic and not like a fantasy version of an Asian woman.
Oh yeah, Lachlan’s there too. 😂
Overall
Vol. 2 was a huge improvement over Vol. 1. It still had misogynistic moments that pissed me off. Luis’s anger issues. The fact that Red Eyes was so hot and not an option was also really irritating.
Thankfully, Lachlan pulled through in the end for me. It was something, which is better than nothing—which is what I got from Vol. 1. I couldn’t stand Albert or Orion, so I remained single and it was pretty disappointing.
Anyway, this is supposedly the end of PUB since Jack is moving on to a different position in RC. Good for him. Good for us. Agent Pearce would’ve been nice for a Vol. 3, but I’m also okay without it too.
My Final Grade: C
