Was replaying psi (because why not) and 7 brothers (for avery and logan) and psi does the whole "systemic oppression of the poor" thing so much better than 7b. It's fairly consistent in it's approach, and is very.... realistic? The system can only be changed by someone who's at the top of the pyramid (even in real life, behind every revolution was a person from an aristocratic background who was no longer benefitting from the existing system). Tristan's plan is just going in guns blazing and destroying the families of the people he knows, which is going to cause a dent at most. It makes sense considering that he's still fairly young, dude is like...what....20...? He has no idea how the world works, Ivo is smarter, has more experience, planned the whole thing YEARS before. You have to bring in the shitty rich people to dethrone the shitty rich people. Also, the whole hacking and eavesdropping thing is just so Juvenile, it cracks me up every.single.time. Also, the vicar using the oppressed against themselves was soooo soooo sooo accurate, we're literally seeing this happen in real time.... it's literally happening RIGHT NOW. Ykw, I think it was a bad idea to add such a serious topic in a story that's so focused on college and sex.

So yeah....psi just does it so much better and this is why world building is important. Also, I read this meme that was like "when you're an author and want your characters to be smart but then realise that you yourself need to be smart for that" and yeah...... This thing is just so evident in literally every story
