I think that for me the writer who has improved the most has to be Anastasia.
I hated the first 2 seasons of SBTR. The 3rd was better but not enough to make me want to replay the story. I hated how immature the mc was and how awful she was to every other woman in the story apart from Claire and her sister.
On Thin Ice was better written and had some characters I like, but it was absolute misery porn. The ice skating angle was wasted potential and didn't really add anything to the story, which is a huge shame.
Garden of Eden was still miserable, but it was so much better. The terrible things that happened made sense within the story so it didn't just feel like misery for the sake of it, and she managed to build a good sense of tension and suspense. The LI's were all compelling, and while I would have liked the non-LI female relationships to have been more substantial and real, they were still an improvement on the previous books. The balance between the performing arts bits vs the plot drama was also the best so far I reckon.
I was not enthusiastic when I saw that she was going to be the one writing Averris: The Riftborn, but I am loving it so far! Liren is one of my favourite MC's already and I think Anastasia is doing a great job. I'm excited to see where the story goes from here.
